Simply because there are true heavyweights closer to his size that pose threats to him, but instead he's fighting a guy almost a foot shorter and near 40.

History won't remember the Klitschkos too kindly.

If I had Klitschko's conditioning and height, I wouldn't be talking about fighting Toney now. That's for sure.

Like I said, most boxing experts will likely expect Wlad to massacre Toney, but it will draw the most public attention, as far as available opponents for Wlad are concerned. I know Wlad will massacre Toney, and I dont want to see it necessarily, because I'm a fan of Toney. I also dont want to hear this "true heavyweight" nonsense. Toney stepped up to heavy to challenge the big boys. Wlad should NOT be scrutinized for accepting Toney's move up to challenge in a heavier weight class.

Name an available heavyweight that deserves a title shot more than James Toney. IT DOESNT MATTER that Toney isnt a true heavyweight, he made the decision to move up, and none of the other champs should be expected to avoid him because they are naturally larger than him. Honestly, that part of your arguement makes no sense.

The guy is scared ****less of Brewster. Beating Brewster means ten fold as much as beating Toney.

Sad, but Klitschko doesn't have balls. Neither does his sorry ass brother.
Your an idiot, he wants to fight Toney to get the #1 spot to fight the winner of Rahman/Maskaev to unify the belts. Dumbass.

I think 225-230 is the best we could see him at this point in his career. I just wish he could always look like he did against Holyfield. He was very strong and fluid at that weight (220?).
The difference is Ruiz is not Rahman, that was Rahman at one of his best shape.

If Toney can make 225 for the rest of his career, then he should not have too much problem with his stamina, it's better then the 237 against Rahman.

He was 217 against Holyfield, that is why looked so strong and fluid against Holyfield.

Toney looked to be in fantastic shape against Holyfield.

It's part of a pattern of opponents that Wlad has fought since losing to Brewster.

                      Castillo-who?
Peter-Green as ever, no name on his record
Byrd-smaller inactive fighter, no real chance

And now Toney? I'd rather him fight Briggs or Sergei and or wait for Brewster.

My prediction, the rematch with Brewster would never happen.

Isn't it ironic though? Floyd Patterson just died and he was the first heavyweight to gain the heavyweight title back (and it was taken back from the guy that beat him), while there is a heavyweight titlist the year he died that won't rematch anybody that beat him.

                      See the irony?
