    Could be both, but one thing is for sure. With MayGregor fight PPV was available world wide. So the US PPV numbers don't even matter the slightest. For the first time PPV were accesable in many many places, so the MayGregor fight will in the end have generated a much higher revenue. No doubt about it.

    This might have been Dana White, expanding the boundries of boxing, because I sure as hell don't think Al Haymon opened up the european markets.

      Rather have a pure boxing fight stay #1, but would like to see it topped by another fight between two boxers in the future, but don't see it happening unless boxing can drag itself into the 21st century and actually give the fans what they want, instead of the mismatches, too many orgs and no central governing body. Boxing has the worst structure in sports today.

        may vs pac took 7 years of hype to capture that record. may vs mac came out of the blue and managed to get second place all time. thats unbelievable. it shows the massive star power of mcgregor. and imagine if half the streamers bought it.. nobody will ever reach these numbers in boxing but conor is young he can possibly break the record in the UFC.
