The only way any champion sports person/team including boxers can get round this 'odds problem" is to always fight and never duck the best available. Floyd was always a favorite because of clever matchmaking. Ali didn't have that privilege, in fact he was at a huge disadvantage due to his inactivity and the effect that had on him.

Great article today! Liked the breakdown between Floyd 's and Ward's resume, gives a clear picture of why Floyd has an all time great resume.

Breadman is unsure of GGG-Canelo winner. Must not have liked something he saw when him and J Rock went to Big Bear....

Top Rank matched Floyd for 37 fights.... He went 37-0! Too many excuses, too much hate for boxing's number 1 guy!! Ironically Ali got the same hate during his time.

Good stuff, love the 90's middleweight talk.

160/168 in the 90's was so stacked and criminally underrated with RJJ, B-Hops, Lights Out, G-man, the Body Snatcher, the Hawk, the Blade, Nunn, Reggie Johnson, Benn, etc. Really makes the current division look like absolute garbage.

Ali took on all comers and was funny, which made people forget about a lot of his bad sides
