Based on what exactly?

I'd say he has one of the best/most underrated defences in boxing but there's really not that much evidence that he has a granite chin or not. He did get put on ***** street by Cotto's brother but it was a long time ago. Mayweather also hit him with an uppercut that stung him and he retreated to the ropes. He's never really been in with big punchers and solid middleweigts like GGG.

I think his chin is pretty solid but I believe GGG has the power to hurt Canelo, at least break him down anyway.

Miguel Cotto landed several flush shots to his jaw and he walked right through them. Granted Canelo came in about 15+ pounds heavier, but Cotto can crack and his best punches were ineffective.

GGG can't KO Cotto. Cotto's boxing abilities are in enough high level, he wouldn't let GGG to land a clean power punch.
