The Sebastian Lujan fight is where he started doing it. He went from getting clearly outboxed and not even being able to move Daniel Santos, to almost ripping a dude's ear off with his punches. As soon as they caught him doing it against Mosley all of a sudden he couldn't crack an egg. He looked feather-fisted against Shane and couldn't even hurt anyone he fought after that fight. Those of you who are seriously think he's innocent and didn't do it need to be slapped, seriously.

I'm not sure when he started but he definitely tried cheating in the Mosley fight, anyone trying to make him a saint for that is being biased.

The truth is Margarito brought good ratings and had a big time promoter in Top Rank, he also had money for good lawyers. That should tell you if he got banned "just cause of brotha naz". If he was truly innocent, there would've been no 1 year banishment, or he would've sued all parties involved to clear his name from slander, ruining his career and preventing him to lose out on money for 1 year, and even emotional distress. But Margarito didn't do any of that because of the evidence that was piled against him to ban him.

And btw he couldn't fight in ANY state, all state's athletic commissions respect one states ban on a fighter, hence why he fought in Mexico and not in the United States.

On top of the evidence they had of him trying to cheat, his own trainer Javier Capetillo admitted to loading Margarito's gloves and saying it's his fault and Margarito did not know he was cheating with the handwraps.

Although Capetillo said he deserved the California commission’s punishment, he still feels that Margarito’s management team, headed by Sergio Diaz and Francisco Espinoza, could have supported him more during and after the hearing.

I agree. There is zero proof his gloves were loaded for any fight.He hit Cotto in the head a few hundred times in the first fight. If he was wearing "bricks" then Cotto should have been knocked out cold with a hell of a lot fewer punches than that. It's not like Cotto has an iron jaw because he doesn't. Margarito hit hard and he hit often. He didn't need loaded gloves to knock guys out.As Martinez himself said, Margarito knocked him out fair and square.

If I am not mistaken he only got "banned" for 1 year and only in one state. Didn't he fight in Mexico the same year? The athletic commissions or sanctioning bodies didn't take it seriously either because they knew that it was a whole lotta nothing turned into something because it was "Brotha" ****m who "caught him."

Uhh, except that his own trainer admitted to it and Margarito's own managers said they had seen Capetillo load Margarito's gloves up and never said anything until he was actually caught.

Some people are still in complete denial about this. Margarito had just KOed Cotto, and Cotto was undefeated at that time and no one had anything for him. Margarito's next fight was with Mosley, 37 years old at the time, when he was caught with the wraps. He was hurting everyone before Mosley, but all of a sudden, he couldn't even beat a worn out Mosley, let alone hurt him? After the wrap scandal he has not KOed anyone! He was ballsy enough to try and put the wraps on while Naseem was watching. You guys forget that they made him take off the original wraps, because they were finished wrapping him with Naseem came in, then they tried to wrap him again with plaster in front of Naseem. If he was confident enough to do it in front of him, then surely he has done it in the past. There is a documentary where a guy states he is blind in one eye because Margarito had used plaster on him during sparring.
