Eddie hall is the worlds strongest man, far more accomplished than Hughie in his respective sport

Hughie is frail and has no power, a weak heavyweight who will get beat sooner or later.

He got 1st place beating reigning champion Brian Shaw and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson in this years world strongest man competition.
He hasnt won the Arnold Classic but as you said has the deadlift world record and the axel press world record

Ah, I kept thinking of wsm 2016 when Shaw won it and Hall got bronze or something, had to come through injury as well. Well I'd have no problem labeling him WSM tbh, regardless of the Arnold Strongman Classic. The other event has wider international prestige.
