That's true but Dawson challenged him at 168. All Ward is guilty of is saying yes to a fight and a weight limit that was all Dawson's idea. Dawson was confident he could make 168 and still be strong and he clearly said this before the fight. He was wrong and making 168 did weaken him but don't blame Ward for knocking him out because that's his job. Ward is better and would still have knocked him out if they had fought at 175 in my opinion. Look where Ward is now. The best PFP fighter in the world while Dawson is just a memory.

Why the hell are you making a new thread about something that happened 5 years ago? Ffs

Would be different if Ward called Dawson out and stated he must be at a CW thats the way Manny does it, I think if youre doing the calling out you should go to them not the other way around.

DaWson was a 175 pound fighter for years and only went down for money.

Draining yourself to make weight messes with the fluid protecting your brain along with your strength and stamina.

This was evident with roy jones and chris byrd and also dawson
Ward would of beat him at 175 plus Dawson didn't beat Hopkins....(unofficially)

that was a completely manufactured position. took the whole establishment of boxing to protect him and get him to the top of the mountain. judges that can't score, refs that can't see and dont know the rules, commentators that call clear low blows borderline, pundits that act like they didnt see him cheating nonstop and getting gift decisons. all of it so that they could crown this ungrateful diva who thinks he deserves 5 million a fight but cant draw anything the "best" well done boxing. you picked a real winner to represent you "peeleft:

Dawson was drained. Ward would have been given much more credit if he beat Dawson at 175. A Light Heavyweight Dawson would have been a great win for his resume.

Dawson never recovered and his career went down the drain unfortunately. He sacrificed everything to make a good fight on paper happen while Ward didn't have to give up anything.

He called ward out at that weight. Then ward took it. And then dawson had time to be serious and train to be in the best shape he could. Now once he didnt do that, then all of a sudden its somebodys fault. He wanted the fight, the money etc. He signed the contract. So have character and do your job. Ppl look for to many excuses and try blaming others for their own downfalls when in all actuality its up to each individual to make the best of what they have. So sick of ppl begging for fights, signing contracts and then bringing out the excuses when they have to pay for there actions. And fans back it up like it means something. Same thing with rigo. He gonna get handled by loma easily, because he called for the fight constantly, and then afterwards the excuse train pulls in and all the idiots with their cry baby attitudes try to somehow make it credible smh lol.

This is boxing you know, and dawson was an individual man making choices to risk all in order to make money. I believe everyone understands this
