Who else does Arum have in his stable for Crawford besides Vargas? I think Crawford vs Danny Garcia is a good scrap.

If Crawford isn't immediately moving to 147 then why vacate the IBF? Lipinets would've been a perfectly solid opponent to close out this year or kick off next year

arum doesnt want crawford to fight horn yet before the rematch with pac because if crawford beats horn then he will not get any credit since people will just say horn didnt even beat pac, etc.
That's the point no way will Pac beat Crawford so they won't want Crawford beating horn ....

its all about money with arum

undefeated horn vs undefeated crawford is a bad financial decision right now. Arum was ready to sacrifice horn after milking out a pacquaio rematch but thats still possible for next year.

both of them will get easy fights this fall against cab drivers to keep them viable next year for a pacquiao return.

The thing is Crawford is one of the many boxers these days that doesn't take control of his own career when he throws out the promoter & manager as controllers of his destiny so Crawford is leaving it in Arum's hands by not calling out Manny or Horn or whoever he wants to fight.

So one could argue Crawford is asking to get f#cked over & passed over when opportunities come up by pleading the fifth about what he wants his future to look like.

Then again bowing down to Arum & kissing his ring might be how you get ahead with Top Rank if you aren't "the guy" & Crawford isn't THAT popular outside of Nebraska to ever be "the guy" unless he beats a Manny or another name guy or just gets the position by seniority at some point.
The problem is that Arum is not allowing Crawford to have that type of fight. He'd rather have Pac or Horn fight his 2nd tier fighters as much as they can before Crawford gets his chance.

Well I mean Crawford isn't helping himself by not saying he wants to fight Manny. He should be saying Manny's name & Horn's name all day if he actually wants to move up to 147 & start making the big money.

If he wants to stay at 140 or do whatever for awhile longer fair play to him.

Horn-Crawford is not a Vegas fight and it better not be on PPV because I wouldn't buy it. Bud would beat the brakes off Horn. I'm not going to pay extra for a fight with such disparity in talent. Horn should fight Spence in November. He was talking all that noise while he thought the Pacman rematch would happen. He knew he would be protected by Top Rank. Jessie Vargas? Psssshhhhh
