There is too much of a risk that Crawford would beat Horn and screw up the Horn PAC rematch. I don't see how this is acting in the best interests of Crawford by depriving him of a huge payday.Comment

Why not? A Pacquiao-Horn rematch is more money than a Crawford-Horn fight. And I don't know how sentimental Bob is, but maybe he wants Manny's final fight to be a fight where he wins his old title back. It'd make for a good story.Comment

Arum for sure isn't doing that.
The thing is Crawford is one of the many boxers these days that doesn't take control of his own career when he throws out the promoter & manager as controllers of his destiny so Crawford is leaving it in Arum's hands by not calling out Manny or Horn or whoever he wants to fight.
So one could argue Crawford is asking to get f#cked over & passed over when opportunities come up by pleading the fifth about what he wants his future to look like.
Then again bowing down to Arum & kissing his ring might be how you get ahead with Top Rank if you aren't "the guy" & Crawford isn't THAT popular outside of Nebraska to ever be "the guy" unless he beats a Manny or another name guy or just gets the position by seniority at some point.Comment

From a money point of view I don't disagree with you.
I'd just like to see Crawford find his ceiling whatever that happens to be & see him in the bigger fights. I just wanna see all the guys who keep winning in bigger fights. The roundabout way boxing works can be frustrating far too often. Rematches & mandatory's & politics & bs. I just wanna see the best compete against the best & I think Horn vs Crawford makes more sense if things fans cared about mattered the most. But things that make money for a promoter matters the most in this era still.Comment

Well he would be "the guy" in a heartbeat if he beat Horn. The Fed's or someone has to put a stop to this BS. If Manny can't fight Horn or his schedule won't allow it too bad for him. That's coming from a Pacquiao fan. Crawford shouldn't be denied an opportunity based on loyalty or how much more money the promotor could make with another fighter.Arum for sure isn't doing that.

Crawford-Horn would be a great fight to showcase Crawfords skills and step him up to WW. Then he could destroy Pacquiao at the start of next year. I don't know why any fighters would want to sign with Top Rank, they've been doing a terrible job for years.Comment
