    It Don't Look Good For Saul/Lil G

If history is any indicator, the fight is going to tank...and badly.

Floyd/DLH did 2.4M buys. The next PPV fight after (Pac/Barerra II) did 350K buys.

Floyd/Canelo did 2.2M buys. The PPV fight after that (Bradley/Marquez) did 375K buys.

Floyd/Pac did 4.6M buys. The next PPV fight (Floyd/Berto) did 400K buys.

The projections for Floyd/Mac, even by haters, has it over 4M buys.

Which means Canelo/Lil G might be in trouble.

I will go on record right now as predicting it does under a million buys.

The difference is all those fights ******. May/Oscar, May/Canelo and especially May/Pac left the fans with a bitter taste in their mouth.

May/Mac was actually entertaining and people that watched the fight said they got what they paid for. I've only heard positive things about the fight.

I think Canelo/GGG will do just fine. Even if it does slightly under 1M, that would be a success.

Difference is they don't really need that much number to break even as both fighters probably have a guarantee of $10 mil total, or not as greedy as Mayweatha.

Showtime probably won't even break even at 4mil PPV.

How much under 1 mil? Close to a mil is a good result...canelo vs cotto did less than 1 mil.

I think boxing is at a higher water mark right now after MayMac. It outperformed expectations so I think a lot of cats who bought in for that for the first time or are casual fans usually will come back in a couple weeks for Canelo vs GGG. Plus a think a nice portion of hardcore fans saved their money for this fight with their lil boycott of MayMac.

So I think Canelo vs GGG for sure gets over 1M, which I was thinking they might not do previously cuz I expected MayMac to disappoint, but now I think they have a great chance to hit or even surpass 1.5M buys which will be Canelo's biggest PPV as the A side.

you don't count to good brother.

              4 million ppv at $100 = 400 million

              Floyd contract 100 million
              conor contract 30 million

that's 270 million left. thats double what they paid

and that's not counting the actual gate, movie theater tickets, merchandise, concessions

              Showtime is winning

Cotto canel did less than a million. How much did you really think this fight was gonna do? I'd say anywhere from 900k to 1.1mil is a success.

                I'm hoping for about 1.5

I doubt showtime gets money for the gates, merch and concessions.
