Neither HBO nor Showtime does publicly release the official PPV nimbers.
Insiders in the industry do.
900k & 925k is not the same as 1 million.
Do the math.

HBO and Showtime have released PPV numbers many times.
And I said just shy of 1 million for Maidana.Comment

I believe HBO stopped officially releasing PPV numbers after Canelo vs Khan, presumably because it flopped. Since then you have to rely on the word of promoters and "insiders"Comment

It really wouldnt surprise me if it didnt.
I think most casuals over here at least were pretty sure it was a mismatch by the time the fight happened and most people i spoke to streamed rather than paying.
Compared to Mayweather vs Pac i think there was just as much talk about the fight, but not as much excitement to actually find out what was going to happen.
Will do ungodly numbers either way though and everyone will have made a tonne of cash.Comment

I didn't break the live gate either.

Well I thought it would sell more than Floyd/Manny after the 1st presser. Looks like I was wrong.
That said there were 3 mil+ illegal streams . If those were all purchases the fight would have sold close to 8 million PPV's.Comment
