Hence the phrase "I'd like". Spence vs Crawford seems to be what everyone is slavering for. I'd like to see it too, but after Terence has become acclimated to the new weight - OR, none of those fights could ever happen; just wishful thinking. Oh, and it would be ridiculous if Spence vs Thurman never happens - absolutely no excuse for that fight to never occur.Last edited by Pump the Jab; 09-01-2017, 03:25 AM.Comment

Crawford hasn't fought anyone. Arum has protected this dude. Tell Crawford to fight Regis "Rougarou" Prograis and he will lose all of those belts. He better run up to 147, but then again it's killas up there. LOL. Anybody that says different, bring your money. No one's beating Prograis at 140. Period.

I don't understand US boxing anymore, If Crawford were to be a foreigner cleaning out the whole division, he would be revered and supported which eventually would turn to dollars. For Black fighters to get to the pinnacle, they have to play the stereotypes to sell.Support your own Americans. In UK we support our own regardless of race and religion.Comment

I noticed how the UK fans support their domestic fighters as well. It seem as if the UK fans just want to see their fighters succeed despite the fighters level. Crawford would be huge in the UK! Here in the USA, it's either love or hate! The haters just want to see you loose & the few that love are the total opposite.I don't understand US boxing anymore, If Crawford were to be a foreigner cleaning out the whole division, he would be revered and supported which eventually would turn to dollars. For Black fighters to get to the pinnacle, they have to play the stereotypes to sell.Support your own Americans. In UK we support our own regardless of race and religion.Comment

I know the original explanation for the WBA introducing super titles for unified champs was to address the problem of too many mandos. But they abandoned that excuse after elevating Sturm - who wasn't a unified champ - so he didn't have to fight GGG.WBA champions have a mandatory due every nine months in every division except heavyweight, where the mandatory is due every twelve months.
These obligations are obviously selectively enforced, depending on how well known the fighter is and how well connected their promoter or manager is.
When the WBA created super champions, the rule was that they'd have to defend against the world champion every 18 months, while the world champion would face the #1 contender every nine months.
However, in recent years, the WBA has given themselves more wiggle room. The current version of the rules allows the WBA to make things up as they go along in terms of how long the super champion has to make a mandatory defense, although they still typically have twice as long.
If they've brought that rule back, you can bet, they'll use it when it suits them and forget it when it doesn't!Comment
