    Comments Thread For: Lipinets-Kondo Ordered For IBF Title, Must Reach Deal By 9/30

    BoxingScene.com has been advised by the International Boxing Federation that top contenders Sergey Lipinets (12-0, 10 KO) and Akahiro Kondo (29-6-1, 16 KOs) were given until September 30th to reach an agreement for an ordered fight for the vacant IBF junior welterweight title. If no agreement is reached, the fight will head to a purse bid. Lipinets [ranked at 1] and Kondo [ranked at 2] have both advised the IBF, in writing, of their willingness to participate in the fight.

          6 Losses? Really? In anything they should've ordered Kondo vs Maurice Hooker in a Eliminator with the winner fighting for that Vacant belt vs Lipinets not just give it to Kondo.

          These Belt Organizations are just ALL OVER THE PLACE!

                      LOL IBF is hilarious.

                      Looking this guy up he's got a 8 fight win streak going on since losing in 2015 to Ricky Sismundo & 2 of those 8 opponents were making there pro debut & one was 0-1. And 7 of those 8 fights were 8 rounders. I don't think you should even be ranked if you are still fighting 8 rounders.
