Canelo has never beaten anyone on the backfoot. GGG has.

GGG has beaten lemieux and boxed stevens from the backfoot displaying a beautiful jab. Canelo even against **** opposition cant' fight from the backfoot. So if canelo plans on beating ggg, he has to do something that hasa never been done before. Back ggg up and canelo is a counter puncher so that's not his style. Fight on the backfoot and we all know how that plays out against ggg.

De la hoya said to beat ggg you have to fight fire with fire. Canelo could not even fight fire with fire against a small ww in mayweather.

I wouldn't think Canelo's plan calls for backing up, he is or will be as strong as GGG on the inside. I think Canelo may move in and out using angles he can't back straight up with GGG or come straight in has he has in the past. He needs to get in range and work but plan his exit, hook out or jab out at angles. GGG is coming to look for you so you better be off to his sides.

Canelo is an attacking fighter who doesn't back up. He stands his ground. He has a good jab, quick accurate combinations and wicked body punches. I think he has improved so much from the time he lost to Mayweather that he would beat the Mayweather of that fight today. He had to fight Mayweather at 152 which was not his best weight. I am picking GGG to win but it is a close fight as the betting odds show.

GGG isn't going to beat Canelo because he's a better boxer. He isn't. Plus, outboxing David Lemieux isn't as mindblowing as some make it out to be.

This isn't to say GGG is unskilled. But I suspect his strength and power will be his two biggest assets.

lemiux and Stevenson would be 2 bums had anyone else beaten them. but for some reason they are these great wins for Gggee. Lemiux is decent not saying hes a bum but im just sayin.

funny how beating lemiux is this great win but beating maidana, corrales, or zab Judah are low level wins.

Yeah, call me crazy but...I think Lemieux is a C-class fighter. Maybe B minus. He hits hard, that's about it.

I don't like GGG's resume but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Nobody stands out and nobody has really taken him into deep waters. I feel like that might be an issue against Canelo.
