Then there was Ike Quartey, who some feel was robbed. But, if you are going to make the argument for Quartey being robbed the you have to consider the argument that Oscar was robbed versus Mosley in one of their fights, Trinidad, and to many Mayweather. In fact, Oscar in his declining years past his prime faired better than Canelo versus Floyd.
Pernell and hector were way past their prime. Vargas and hernandez are not even close to ggg's level.

If he beats Golovkin he would be 15 due to him being the underdog, smaller man and basically making his middleweight debut against one of the most harder punchers in the sport with some decent skills behind him!

He gets in the top 10 if he stops GGG which would shock everyone and looking back not many Mexican greats stopped an opponent that was bigger than them, harder puncher and as a underdog!

Other than that he would have to beat GGG, Saunders, Charlo, Jacobs and at least hold down 160 for 2 years or more to get in the top 5!

If he wants to beyond that and get in top 3 he'd have to go up to 168 as well and beat some champs while being significantly undersized on all accounts!

Top 5 is too high. If he wins and it isnt a flat out robbery he may crack the top 10, even then thats tough since that list is loaded with guys like:

          Chavez
          Sanchez
          Olivares
          Lopez
          Barrera
          Morales
          Marquez
          Canto
          Saldivar
          Zarate

He'd could possibly be at the bottom end of that list, which is arguable. But defintely not top 5

Whitaker and Camacho had plenty left in the tank. Like I said, a past prime DLH fought way better against Floyd than Canelo did. You can't dismiss that.

How disrespectful to Mexican boxers of the past. Clown canelo is not even top 10.

If you think Margarito is one of the 5 best Mexican boxers of all time I am guessing you never saw many of the great Mexican fighters of the past. I like Margarito. He is game and tough with endless stamina but he just doesn't belong in the top 5 or even the top 10. Canelo would slaughter him on his best day.

Lol maybe top 15. He definitely is the best one right now. If Zurdo wins in september really well then he wont be far behind imo
