  • A bunch of word heavy illogical hatred as usual coming from the same group. Don't be fooled by the haters rhetoric. Majority of it is driven by deeply rooted ideologies of predjudice.

    Notice the patern:

    1. They never use the same criteria or reasoning when comparing accomplishments or failures.

    2. There is an "excuse" or "explaination" for every instance of success.

Ricky Hatton - B-level, not in his weight class
Miguel Cotto - Passed his prime, damaged goods.
Zab Judah- Kosta Tszyu left overs, beaten by all of his big fights, not A-level

      stop twisting.
what prime fighters did Manny beat if you wanna twist it like that? we can do that to anyones resume

      • Now you see why certain fans are so desperate for Canelo to be "too green". A 35 year old Floyd moving up and schooling Canelo in his prime undeniably shattered the last narrative Mayweather haters can cling to.

i wouldn't consdier barrera prime in his pacquiao loss, having two fights with morales and a hard career leading into it, but he's closer to prime than any all time great on floyd's resume.

marquez was in his prime in the first fight without a doubt, and that fight was a draw only because of a scoring error. in the second fight he'd slowed physically, but so had pacquiao and some of thatr can be contributed to weight. nobody was saying at the time they they weren't prime in that fight. pacquiao was definitely still improving in '08, and i think marquez started to find his identity when he started throwing more punches in combination than running away after he landed, like he did in the early 2000's. the first signs of slippage i saw in pacquiao were in the cotto fight. he let him off the hook and that's a sign of a fighter becoming complacent.

you act like floyd can control what era hes in, he fought who he could and he beat them all, he wasnt even in his prime at WW anyway, he was fighting bigger guys most of the time there too. floyds prime was in the lower divisions. he just was still better than everyone else and sustained success longer than anyone in history probably while fighting credible names and making most look very ordinary.
I would have went with different choices bro... Mosely was like 38 and coming off a 18 month layoff, he hadn't "just beat Marg"

Delahoya was washed up, hadn't had a good win in like 5 years before the Floyd fight. He robbed Sturm to get to the Hopkins fight years earlier.

Cotto was the least washed of them all but still didn't fight him when he should have which is when he went on his "retirement" as his division was catching fire.

Great fighter with a well managed last half of his career. Floyd at 130 was amazing and fun to watch. When he moved up it baca me a business and picking the right time to fight guys rather than when the fights would have been great.

As far as Floyd not being prime either, of course he wasn't, but guys age differently based on how they fight. Guys like PAC,Barrera, Morrasles, etc obviously take way more damage than Guys like Bhop,Floyd etc therefore get worn out much faster.

Moved up to a weight he held multiple titles in and fought the best young contender there at a catchweight instead of the weight he fought the washed up guys at...

Canelo wouldn't have beat him at 154 either but let's not act like Floyd did something miraculous fighting him at 152

He had fought 7 times in the previous 6 years and retired for almost 2. Not exactly putting himself through the ringer leading up to that age if you ask me.

Not saying what he's accomplished is not great because he's an amazing fighter but he hasn't gone through wars like other 35 year old fighters
