So not getting beat up & taking punishment should count against him? Lmao

That is a reason why he is so great. Every fighter from his generation fell off while Floyd was in his prime for like 10 years

Of course he did. Not surprising that you're dumb enough to think he didn't.

Only prime A+ guy that "Money" fought was Canelo and Mayweather needed a catch weight for that.

every fighter from his generation fought other elite fighters in their primes but floyd. hmm tough fights=faster decline what a shocker! also floyd retired when his division was at its best. thats gotta help longevity as opposed to getting ko'd like his peers. instead of criticizing him for these moves he gets credit! thats an amazing turnaround

Canelo weighed 153 for his previous fight, Floyd had him drop a single pound. Big whoop. People comparing that to Cotto going to 145 to fight Pacquaio are being silly. And if you think a single pound made a difference you're delusional. Canelo knows he got whooped.

Same people probably think draining Oscar to 145 (which he weighed on fight night) wasn't a huge deal.

People are pointing to 1 single pound for Mayweather. After 21 years and 50-0 they are down to crying about a single pound.

i was at floyd - canelo. canelo sat on a chair during the weigh in. went almost straight to the chair when he didn't need to be standing up. his stomach was sunken in like he hadn't eaten a solid meal in days. the next day he looked like a completely different person. the guy was brutally drained at 152 lbs.

canelo is a really good fighter and honestly it's not a bad win for mayweather even considering the weight, but let's not let these guys act like canelo wasn't drained when he fought floyd, when we all know damn well that he was.

floyd's one of the most carefully matched hall of famers of all time. he was mathched to make money in the long term, and extend his career. not for the purity of competition. those are just a facts./QUOTE]

How exactly was Canelo "drained" in the fight? Did he tire?

Your opinions are not "facts" just because you say they are. It doesn't work like that. Facts need to be backed up. Name all the fighters within the last 20 years with a better resume.

                    here's another one

yeah man, canelo sat on a chair at the weigh in because he was feeling great!

and look at his stomach! not shrunk in!

Look at him sitting down on stage

and here's canelo talking about how mayweather's team wanted him to fight at 147 lbs . not trying to drain him though! and when they took canelo's next fight at 155 lbs it was just for show, right?

you might be that biased, hardly worth the time fo day fanboy who can look a young fighter with no muscle tone, sitting down in a chair with his stomach shrunken in like he's been starving, but i am not. there are a bunch of people in this thread who actually think and look into issues instead of simply toting hte party line and shouting TBE everywhere they go. we're called adults. and sometimes the kids just need to shut the f#ck up and learn something from the adults.

margarito can't even get sanctioned to fight in america. let that sink in.

but let me guess, a guy named TBE wants to build up the win for cotto to build up the cotto win for mayweather
Mayweather wasnt in his prime he beat guys like cotto and canelo either. Wasnt even in his prime at ww anyway. You guys act like all of floyds opponents age and get past prime while floyd never does, hillarious double standard.
