Dude...that is not even a fight. As a major (ex) Pac fan, I am 100% certain Mikey would drop him in the first 6. Manny is nowhere near the Manny of old. But his pride just won't let him accept that fact - even when Freddie basically tells him the same thing, as politely as he can.

Because of the lose and controversy Horn is probably Manny's best option now. Horn getting defeated takes a lot out of the rematch. If the fight is pushed back expect to see Horn take voluntary defense against a pillow puncher or someone from a lower weight division then make another fight with Manny. If Horn takes a stay busy fight, I'd guess they'd go with Vargas - just the right combination of name recognition and low chance of upsetting the cart.

"Manny is deciding if he wants a rematch this year or next year. If he decides to postpone it, we will make a fight for Jeff in November against a good opponent in Brisbane," explained Bob Arum to ESPN Deportes.

Translation: it will be against a bum he can easily beat.

Whatever. At least it'll just be on ESPN.

Can we push it back to, say, 2048? TIA.

Ponomarev fighting Ocampo this weekend, but otherwise, yes, would keep it fully in-house for Top Rank (presumably one of Arum's goals).

Else Saucedo who could boast an unbeaten record going in (albeit no-one notable), but he's fighting too 22 Sep.

Might need to go for someone like Bradley Skeete who looks like a soft touch yet is ranked up there by the WBO at no. 3. Matthyse is no.1, but that would mean getting it on with a Golden Boy fighter, which depends on how the Arum/DLH/Schaefer love triangle is going.

I disagree. Mikey and Pac are the same size. And no one has over dominated Pac. Especially guys his own size. ... I think it'd be competitive. But anyways, Pac doesn't need to improve anything anymore.

Just trying to say... he should take 1 BIG fight and then retire win or lose rather than waste time with the Jeff Horn's of the world.
