So should Floyd have ducked Hatton who was calling him out to fight Tszyu who Hatton had just smashed? Floyd fought the best at 135 already in Castillo, twice. Floyd fought the best at 130. 140 was just a pitstop for him on the way up to chase bigger cash fights.

Most of your aurgment is hindsight not as it happened. You can say your unimpressed by who he fought, that's fair, but you can't say that he fought all these guys at the wrong time. By the same logic, Mosely has like a dozen losses now, is he garbage to?

Mayweather ducked Cotto in 2008, question mark Marg when Arum offered him 7 mil, Tzu, Paul Williams, PAC, and Quintana. I can say Judah but Judah already was what he was when he got to the division.

Bumgarito couldn't even beat Santos and Williams (who lost to Carlos Quintana FFS). He was only ever winning fights because he had loaded gloves and Paul probably would've fought Floyd if not for his career ending the way it did. Plus he couldn't beat guys like Lara etc.

Bottom line the man didn't duck anyone. He fought the best guys at the time. Baldomir was the LINEAL champion at Welterweight at the time and hadn't lost for like 8 years straight. Truth. If Margarito beats Cotto in their rematch he might have been lined up to face Mayweather, but he got his ass kicked. IF Paul Williams hadn't gotten his ass kicked he might have eventually been able to get that fight too. Keep winning and you get to fight the best, lose and you have to start over most of the time. Kostya Tszyu doesn't get his butt kicked by Hatton and he might have gotten the fight eventually. Of course, then people would be saying he ducked Hatton to fight Tszyu after Hatton had smashed him. They'd say he ducked the lineal champ on a huge win streak in Baldomir had he not fought him too.

Remember when they said he'd never fight Marquez after Marquez called him out? Remember when they said he'd never fight a young undefeated bull like Canelo? And on and on.

21 years, he fought them all and beat them all. These pathetic losers would love it if he fought Ward in 3 years at 175 just so they can say that Mayweather lost.

I don't think Floyd ducked TSZYU, but you can't have a logical conversation without aknoweleging some one else's point of view and being impartial. I'm tired of sports personalities saying Mayweather cherry picked but their memories of events were foggy at best.

I layed out the majority of the timeline in the initial post as I remember it and clarified different view points in other posts but instead of people coming with better evidence they create new threads and change the subject.
