These are awesome # all things considered. This proves Cotto still is a big draw. Hope this leads to a big money fight in December, Last one before he retires. He deserves it.

That's a lot of people not paying to watch May-Mac. Could not be happier that Mayweather/Showtime's ego trip hurt themselves at least as much or more than the competition.Comment

Yup it was a sell out as well despite getting NO coverage from ESPN and alot of major outlets during fight week because of Mayweather/Mcgregor. Yet it sold out and drew strong ratings. It proves Cotto is still one of the biggest draws in boxing for active fighters other then Canelo and Pacquiao he might be the next biggest draw. Lomachenko had wall to wall coverage by ESPN and is on basic cable and still Cotto drew higher ratings with no coverage head to head with a huge PPV event and drew a sell out crowd. Hell he just outdid almost every Showtime boxing fight in 2017. Only one I can think that did better was Broner vs Garcia which drew over 800K viewers.Comment

Watched both as I had the Mayweather v. McGregor card on stream from Showtime and this on the TV. Once the fight was over, I just hooked up the HDMI cord for the main event.
Btw, Stub Hub was not sold out based on the crowd I saw on TV. Unless there were a few thousand or so no shows. There were definitely empty seats on the second level. Still had a solid crowd. Good event for sure.
By the time the main event started StubHub filled up.
Look up the reports of the crowd for the fight. They reported a sold out crowd.
It's only an 8,000 seat arena.Comment

I was saw portions of the fight also and thought the same thing. If it was sold out some people decided not to show up because there were a lot of empty seats.Comment

Yup a lot of folks were saying that nobody would show up or watch. These are really great numbers for head to head with maybe the biggest PPV of alltime. For comparison I think only broner vs Garcia has done higher ratings on showtime for 2017. Lomacheko last fight on ESPN drew 728K just a few weeks ago and this out did that despite ESPN running adds and talking about it about all fight week. No ESPN coverage on fight week as all the coverage was on Floyd/Mcgregor and still they outdid Lomachenko vs Marriaga.
