Canelo had a very short amateur career, somewhere between 20-40 fights, not over 100 like Floyd. He was basically using the early part of his pro career to hone his skills. His biggest win prior to Floyd was Trout, who we know is not much more than a gatekeeper. If you weren't such an ignoramus you'd be able to comprehend that. But keep defending this overrated clown to the death, it makes for good entertainment.
Floyd Mayweather damaged boxing for his own gain.

i hope so bro. i think it would take a lifetime for boxing to recover. actually, fraud jr and his ******ed fans almost destroyed the sport of boxing.Boxing will one day recover from the Floyd era. Canelo/GGG is a step forward and should help clear out the Mayweather stink that was left behind. Up and coming talent like Loma, Mikey Garcia, Crawford, Spence, Joshua, will resurrect the sport from the circus that was Mayweather. I doubt his promotion company prospers for very long. Gervonta will prove to be a bust, and the future of boxing looks brighter now that Mr. 50-0 is retired. At least until he runs into IRS and ******** problems again 3-5 years from now.Comment

It took you ten days to come back with that? You realize that by calling Canelo a good fighter you cannot in the same breath say that GGG is all hype given last night's fight over a much improved version of Canelo who didn't have to weight drain for a catch weight.Comment

I hear you. Floyd fans are actually worse than the casuals. At least casuals want to see good, entertaining fights. Floyd fans pretend they enjoy watching a guy win a fight by UD while running, clinching and landing 12 punches per round. Yawn.Comment

Look what Floyd derangement syndrome does to people. It makes you ******ed. Canelo vs 97G hurt the sport of boxing a lot more than MayMac did, which was well received and enjoyed by casuals. The fight that was going to save boxing, the fight that was going to be action packed, the so called next "Duran vs Hearns" is being **** on by casuals and has fans calling the sport corrupt. Floyd haters, your hate is blinding you to the truth.Comment
