This whole G is a small middleweight is nonsense.

The idea is that G rehydrated to 170 and also walks around at the same weight is laughable. Many of his early camp videos show him with a little flab. He never looks flabby in a fight. If you believe that his flabby weight and rehydration weight are the same then your in love not a fan. He's a regular size middleweight. Not huge and not small. Pavlik and Jacobs are big middleweights.

Size is more than weight. Since people carry weight differently. Height and body frame are more indicative than weight of a persons natural size. Let alone the fact that you have body types like endomorph and ectomorph. The former naturally carries around fat mixed with muscle while the latter is generally lean muscle.

If height and frame didn't matter, then you wouldn't be able to recognize weightclass by sight. Most successful Featherweights are generally in the 5'5 to 5'8 range. Welters in the 5'6-5'9 range. Middleweights are generally 5'9-6 foot range. There are some exceptions but they automatically stand out. Paul Williams stood out at welter, lucky for most people he didn't fight tall. There's no easy way to measure frame out side of endo and ectomorph. But if you believe 5'9 Canelo should be in light heavy just because he's an endomorphh your an idiot.

If your a G fan your a fan. If you like seeing him beat people senseless there's no reason to apologize for it or make up excuses.
