Haven't seen this fight, only Gervonta's previous two. He seemed like a talented, soft spoken, nice kid with a tremendous upside. Hopefully he can reel it in with his behavior/failure to make weight.

Didnt bother with this rubbish but did see his las t2 fights and even though he didnt showboat, he close affiliation with Mayweather already seemed problematic. Long before this fight he was already talking about ducking the bets boxer in his division. Showboat or not, thats a bad way to go for a 22yo.

He is a poor man's Judah. Young boxing fans are too quick to jump on nuts and Davis is a perfect example.

That was also my first time watching him and he looked terrible. Slow. Very wide punches. Leaves himself open. Poorly timed taunting.

I will have to go watch some previous fights to understand what the hype is about cause that couldn't have possibly been the source.

The British commentary for that fight was hilarious, so obvious Sky were told beforehand they werent allowed to mention Lomachenko

Probably got his priorities f#cked up. He's young & talented & just starting to get headlines, attention + money. Lotsa people f#ck up whtn that becomes a reality & a few even end up completely f#cking up their trajectory if not their career. If Tank is the former or the later its still too early to say & ultimately he'll choose via his actions.

Randomly, on a podcast today Brandon Schaub said Floyd appeared to be backing off of his confidence in Tank's superstar potential in the fighter meeting when he got brought up. Mighta just been mad about the missed weight or mighta been being 100 with them. Who knows.

The guy had a bad night. That's all I can say for now. Don't judge too quick.
