Comments Thread For: McGregor Handed Medical Suspension, Diaz Trilogy Eyed Next

Conor McGregor has been cleared return to the UFC this year and a trilogy fight with old foe Nate Diaz is firming as an option for his next blockbuster bout. While McGregor was stopped by Mayweather in the 10th round of Saturday's mega boxing bout in Las Vegas, he managed to avoid going down.

This article is Schizophrenic and totally confusing - not to mention - inaccurate.

The article admits that Conor can't fight the Lee v. Ferguson winner in December because of the turn around, but then states that Conor can't get out of defending his title against the interim champ... Duhhhh...

Dana White is not opposed to the Diaz trilogy unless Diaz can't make the weight... Khabib struggles with weight more than Diaz and has to cancel fights because of weight issues - so that makes no sense... Diaz has fought most of his career at 155.

Conor will definitely fight Diaz at 155 if he fights again... Diaz is the only guy anyone knows in that division in the mainstream and Diaz hasn't hurt himself because he's kept his stock at the same level and even picked up more fame during the May-McGregor build up.

If McGregor comes back to the UFC to fight this year, financially McGregor-Diaz 3 makes the most sense Dec. 30.

I think its more to say he's not going to do another boxing match, at least next. I mean it's better than Malignaggi in the fall/.

For business purposes, UFC wouldnt want to lose Conor to boxing. He is their prized asset.

Yea thats the clear move. He & Nate got such a good rivalry they could probably do part IV of their series in the ring in 2019 if both are still fighting by then. After Diaz this year I think he'll look at boxing again, but for as long as he looked like he wasn't enjoying himself in the ring I honestly don't know if he'll box again. I think there is still big money to be made in the ring, but idk that the risk vs reward pays off well for him vs tip top guys or in respect if he's only able to beat a guy like Paulie or worse yet he can't even beat a in shape Paulie.

LOL @ Diaz lost the second fight on purpose..

Mr. Tin Foil hat... did Floyd also lose the first 3 rounds on purpose and let Conor rock him to the body in the 9th and almost stop him too?

Conspiracy theory fan boy ******s lol.
