Of course. MMA's best boxer can't stay with boxing's best champions. Spence or Canelo would blast Conor out quickly and easily. Conor is a good fist fighter and he might hold his own against a top 20 contender or beat a weak boxer like Paulie but he will never have a chance against boxing's champions like Lara or Thurman.

I think most people acknowledged before the fight that the only reason McGregor will last until later in the fight is because he's in with Floyd.

I doubt he see's the end of the first round in with a WW like Thurman or Spence, nevermind any of the good fighters at 154/160. It is what it is. Just as they wouldn't see the end of the first round in the UFC.

the extra 4oz of padding in Floyd's wraps didn't help either...and the fact that Floyd is a **** come forward fighter. he reaches and squares his body and feet badly when he moves forward trying to throw hard shots.

A young hungry fighter approaches that fight a lot differently than a guy who is approaching it as his last fight having already made his name.

A young hungry fighter is going in there to destroy Conor, Floyd did his thing and put it on Conor but it is not like he was coming from round one to utterly destroy Conor and make a name for himself.

                This is common knowledge surely?

He just got battered and stopped by a 40 year old retired Mayweather.

Floyd is 40 and still showed a great showing even with his slowing reflexs.

The greatest fighters li Ray Leonard and Ali were long ago shells of themselves at much earlier in their lives like in their mid 30s.

Floyd carried dude likely could have done be more. But yeah no shyt younger fighters would have got him out quicker.
