Floyd is 40 and looked 40. Guys at the smaller weights tend to decline at a younger age than heavyweights a lot of the time anyway, so that's a rubbish comparison.
He's a 40 year old fighter with brittle hands and beat the p1ss out of McGregor by coming forward. People thought McGregor's only chance to do anything of note in the fight would be if it was a fight, not a hit and move exhibition. Floyd made it a stand up fight and still beat him up. Floyd's reflexes are not what they were, his footwork/footspeed clearly isn't there either.
He may have come forward and fought because he wanted to make it entertaining knowing that he could beat McGregor that way anyway, but it was partly because he simply hasn't got the athleticism, agility, speed and movement that he had, make no mistake about that. His game plan was partly done out of necessity i think.

I was right too, he's not the same and he's not conditioned to take those shots.

It's not a BS excuse. Everybody slows down with age even if they don't smoke or drink. Most boxers don't smoke or drink anyway. You hand pick Hopkins and Foreman to try to make your wrong point but they are slow aging freaks and not the norm. Let's take Sugar Ray Leonard who was so great at 20 to 29 years old but so badly shot at 33 years old that Terry Norris slaughtered him. Leonard was so bad at age 40 that light hitting much smaller Camacho destroyed him in 4 rounds. The history books are full of great boxing champions who didn't smoke or drink but were still shot to hell and completely washed up long before they were 40 years old. Mayweather is 40 years old in boxing years, not 30 years old. You clearly don't like Mayweather and are trying to make him look bad because you call people who do like him stans.
