Comments Thread For: Mayweather Was 'Kind of Shocked' By McGregor's Boxing Skills

LAS VEGAS Floyd Mayweather Jr. wasn't just surprised by Conor McGregor's boxing ability. The best boxer of this era acknowledged afterward that he was "kind of shocked" by McGregor's boxing skills, particularly early in a junior middleweight fight Mayweather won by 10th-round technical knockout Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. McGregor's technique was flawed, but his awkwardness and the southpaw's ability to throw punches from unusual angles troubled Mayweather for the first three rounds of their scheduled 12-rounder.

Yeah even Floyd fan boys can't fathom why you let Conor the novice punch you in the face over and over for most of the rounds. Especially the first four rounds without you answering back at all. Shock is putting it lightly how Conor did that to you lol

At least now that Floyd acknowledged Conor skills. They should be able to realize what you had to go through with Notorious.

Their favorite excuse for you is you carried him to 10 rounds while you got hit cleanly over and over like as if you did that on purpose lol

Mcgregor landed one hard punch a beautiful left uppercut I don't understand why he stopped power shots as the rest were pitty pat arm punches from righty then lefty he was known for Tyson power had 0 arm punches

That's were boxing knowledge comes in how to use hips turn over shots snap them at the end. Amazed at zero punching power except 1 punch did box better than I thought but amateur style point punching no bad intentions

He gassed out. fatigue hit him early. He punch himself out. A novice mistake by a novice boxer, and Floyd knew that. He should he was fighting a noob.

Because of arm/shoulder fatigue. If you rewatch the fight you'll see he was holding his left arm just above his waist after the second round. Just wasn't use to throwing that many shots. He had no pop after that. But gave a solid effort.
