I think its a viable fight regardless of how that sparring footage looked now. They can hid that footage or release & Conor vs Paulie is a viable option I believe.
And I suspect if they don't sign up McGregor vs Diaz III within 5 or 6 weeks when the division Conor is in has two guys fight for the interim title & the right to fight Conor next then he'll box Paulie next vs fight MMA cuz those two guys (Tony Ferguson or Kevin Lee) will for sure beat Conor if they can get Conor on the ground cuz both guys are killas on the ground & Conor is not. So thats a fight that is the biggest risk of all his options + pays the less. Diaz III probably does upwards of 2M PPV buys with a great chance to win, Paulie probably does 1Mish PPV buys in boxing & has the sexier boxing payday to go along with it with a solid chance to win I think one could argue or around a solid chance at least.
Meanwhile Conor vs Ferguson or Lee probably gets 1.25ish buys, but if either of those guys can take a Conor down who's been spending the last year letting his sprawl game lapse with his boxing training its 100% going to be over. Kevin Lee (a Mayweather gym regular who is trained by Dewey Cooper & is a fellow GR native like Floyd & the Notorious Eff Pandas) has choked out his last 3 opponents & 7 of his 8 submission wins have come via rear naked choke. Tony Ferguson has choked out 4 of his last 6 opponents & 7 of his 8 submission wins have come via various chokes.
Conor is fooked basically unless he can keep it standing vs those guys while sleeping in satin sheets & with a bank account that looks like a routing number now. I think Conor's days are numbered, as is often the case in the UFC anyway, but he's got a clear path to take & a clear path to avoid to maximize his present to maximize his paydays.Comment

McGregor and White will never allow Malignaggi to embarrass Conor in a boxing ring. Losing to Floyd was expected, but losing to Malignaggi will totally end the myth of McGregor's greatness.Comment

Paulie Malig you got stopped by a bodyshot by ***in Sam eggington, stick to comentating your competitive days as a boxer are done.Comment

It is pretty much more obvious that McGregor was exhausted.I watched a recording of the fight earlier today and I think Paulie might be on to something there.
I have a su****ion that Conor deliberately started wobbling and reeling because he wanted Byrd to stop the fight in the 10th so he could avoid the storm he knew would be coming his way in the championship rounds.
MMA fighters are 25 minutes fighters at best and this in their own sport.
And guess what, he was totally gassed out in the 9th ie after 24 minutes of fighting.
He had to go 36 minutes in a different sport/effort.
Only his haters will try to label him as a coward and a quitter when dude went against an ATG for his professionnal bout lol fckn sckers.Comment

But Connor troubles guys in the pre fight and is a killer with his feet and hands when he doesn't have boxing gloves so you can't count him out.
I wouldn't be surprised if Connor ices Lee or Ferguson with kickboxing combos even if they aren't small cats like Aldo.
As far as boxing is concerned, Connor needs a build up, maybe to fight one six rounder to get back and a bunch of 10 rounders.
Dude doesn't have the gas to go 12 rounds in boxing.
He needs a real boxing trainer and take his boxing career seriously because talent wise, dude has something.
A trained but as usual hittable Paulie would survive 8 rounds of beating then probably take over a gassed out Connor.
Connor is not winning a 12 rounder.Comment

Well its either that or getting choked the f#ck out thats for sure. Ferguson & Lee have both been "wobbly" from punches, but have always come thru it & are solid, smart & strategic guys who've likely learned from errors of past Conor opponents. And like I said Conor has spent the last year training boxing which isn't going to help him in the cage.
I think there is too much money in play to do 6 rounders or "build him up" vs lesser guys & take the usual route for a guy with a boxing career. I suppose they could sell a 8 or 10 round fight with Paulie that would pay both the money while being more aligned to Conor's gas tank.As far as boxing is concerned, Connor needs a build up, maybe to fight one six rounder to get back and a bunch of 10 rounders.

McTapout picked a fight with a 40 yo retired boxer 20lbs lighter than him who was never a destructive puncher over 130lbs even in his prime. He earned more money for that one fight than any 10 real boxing warriors earned in their entire careers combined and he was rescued by the ref wobbling and firing distress flares without taking any real punishment at all.
McGregor treats boxing, boxers, and boxing fans with comtempt, so don't expect this boxing fan to show him any respect at all.
I just wish I could meet the little **** in a back street somewhere and show him what REAL fighting without rules and a referee is all about.Comment
