So you actually liked watching fat, beer drinking one dimensional fighters fight?

There are real, true athletes in the game right now who are skilled so many different martial arts.

Floyd would probably finish him around round 8 at best. He just doesn't have enough power to finish him before. Conor took shots for five rounds against a 190lb Nate Diaz ffs with 4oz gloves and didn't get stopped. Conor's suspect gas tank was exposed and Floyd started landing at will after. It'd be the same gameplan as before, when Conor has his gas tank he is a dangerous man, when that goes, he's mortal.
I'm guessing by fat beer drinkers, you're talking about Tank Abbott, and I wasnt really much of a fan. Did like his sh it talking, though. I was more of a fan of Royce Gracie, Remco Pardoel, who won virtually every jiu jitsu tournament in Europe before entering the octagon, and Marco Ruas, Brazilian Luta Libre fighter who at 6' and roughly 200 lbs, beat a 6'8" 420lb Paul Varlens

        3 rounds, 4 max.

        Could easily last 1.

You're talking about Marco Ruas who was one of the VERY few and arguably the first guy who competed in the UFC who actually did more than one thing well.

It was cool at first, I get the appeal but you get to a point where it's just sloppy and dirty as ****. I prefer the PRIDE FC rules to the unified rules that we have today which recently were changed for the better too (that touching the mat thing doesn't class you as a downed opponent anymore).

I'm not only talking about Tank Abbott there were quite a few guys who competed that were Tank Abbott-esque. You had mofos fighting who looked like they thought they were competing in a Street of Rage tournament in real life (Megadrive game).

Conor was stripped of his 145lb belt and Max Holloway is the current champ in that division. I don't think Conor will go below 155lbs at this point.

^Yea. I think the ego would be a factor. If Floyd wanted to make a statement, he had the ability to take a guy like Mac out in a round. But, most likely, I see him working to break him down over the first 3 and take him out in the 4th.

connor's chin would be way too high up in the air. he'd probably stop coming forward after the first round or two. might even get hurt in the first round or two.

funny, by the end of the fight floyd had taught him the importance of not keeping your chin straight up in the air. canelo or golovkin woul dhave taken his head off almost immediately. he's lucky floyd is cautious, a counterpuncher, coming off of a 2 year layoff, 40, smaller, and not a big puncher. he could have been seriously, seriously hurt.

disagree with this. floyd never showed the ability to take out a bigger fighter in a round, nevermind one with close to 15 lbs on him. i do think he'd be so sharp that mcgregor would realize in a round or less that he had to chance of winning, but connor showed an OK chin for an MMA guy and wouldn't go in a round based on what floyd did in his prime and his relative lack of finishing skills or punching power for an all time great.
