WTF?? So you watched Floyd fight, but not because you wanted to, but because you went to someone's house and they would order it for you to watch even though you didn't want to and the fights are somewhat costly.

You were just a helpless victim forced to watch. GTFOH. You watched because no matter how much you post about Floyd, you desperately wanted to see him lose. Just admit it and move on.

Ultimately, it's also down to God given gifts, some have great physical attributes, some are great at music, art, etc...you've got to know how to play your cards, but practice is ALWAYS needed...Floyd has spent literally tens of thousands of hours in a boxing gym. Once you do something so long, it's second nature, once you do it more than that, it becomes almost instinct. Floyd got nothing handed to him, and people who hate him for having the no lose mentality, are the ones who are mad their boxing favorites have never had that drive.

He never listened to anybody, had he listened to critics and fought dumb and screwed up his hands even more, he would've probably got stopped years ago and his career and potential to make hundreds of millions would've been out the window. By far the smartest and most thick skinned fighter that we've ever seen, extremely smart and professional. Gets called TBE for a reason.
The fact he's a big pro wrestling fan tells you a lot, he knows how to play the heel. He was about business, he took fights that made the most money for himself possible.

If Floyd would have played a different character, say he had been like a Shane Mosely who is just a nice and likable character, he would have still been undefeated, but he wouldn't have made anywhere near the money.

He was a brash young electric talent who called out all the top names, he finally got his fight with Oscar in the biggest money fight ever. He continued to be loud and mouthy and was hated. People paid to see him lose. The fact that he wouldn't do what they wanted him to do in the ring made him more marketable. People wanted him to get hit, he wouldn't do it because he just wanted to win.

Contrast the PAcquaio buildup to the McGregor buildup. They barely marketed the PAcquaio fight because they knew it would sell itself. Then he sees an opportunity with McGregor who is not even a boxer. McGregor and Mayweather brilliantly pushed this fight to the public and it will smash the revenue produced by May-Pac. What should have been a joke and ignored did probably $800 million in revenue because McGregor and Mayweather both know how to market. Really have to hand it to the both of them, they made more money than anyone imagined.

And the marketing is totally separate from Floyd's actual in the ring accomplishments. 50-0 while fighting in 5 different weight classes and against 25 champions makes his boxing accomplishments immortal as well. Boxing will never see another like him.

Unbelievable. Truth is His cable/internet were out so he would go to people's houses until one of them let him pay for the fight and watch it.

For all the posters that crap on Floyd for not being able to read, he reads enough to learn from WWE how to market himself to the masses. Hopefully, others will learn the same thing.

Lighting in a bottle man. He combined
                  1. A polarizing heel personality
                  2. An undefeated record
                  3. Actually being the best in his sport.
Floyd had a ton of less than appealing fights. But, he talked so much the next bout you forgot his last one was boring lol.

Now, what is 800 subtracted by 180? That is 620....I'm supposed to believe he made $620 million from all his other fights, pre-McGregor combined?

So again, I ask you a simple question, where is the proof Mayweather is worth this much?

PS. I wouldn't normally care but since the amount of money he has made is continuously brought up to equate he is a business genius, let's all get our facts straight here. A man who can't pay his taxes can't make $800 million lol
The floor rumbles and your ears feel like they’re stuffed with cotton from the combination of the crowd noise and the blaring music. The flashes from cameras and smartphones dot the darkened arena like a million fireflies on a summer night. As the boxers make their way toward the ring, it all intensifies to a maddening crescendo that doesn’t stop until after the first punch is thrown.

                    Might explain it.
