    Something's to consider

First let's get this out of the way. Let's not act like conor isnt a multi division world class champion in a combat sport. The man can fight. Just wanted to give the man credit.

But my point is, with him making his pro debut why was this a 12 round fight? I know the WBC made a "Money belt" but even then I thought you couldn't fight for a championship in your first fight I.e Loma Had to wait.

Also, it was my understanding that if you deliberately turn your back to your opponent you are deemed to have retired. There was a point in the fight at least once where Floyd deliberately turned his back to Connor. Am I missing something?

I know that this was an oddity, but it was still a sanctioned fight. Were rules not applied or am I under the wrong understanding?

Also just for debate if this was a 6-8 rounder do you think Floyd or Connor would have applied more pressure from the start with less concern about conserving energy?
(Yes, Floyd would have won regardless in my opinion.and no,Connor never had a punchers chance. He had ZERO pop)

How can you turn your back on someone and your feet stay in the exact same position?

Conor span around to his back. I was told yesterday that that is called "Taking someone's back" in the MMA world.

Conor elaborated on that in the press conference, and said he made a conscious decision to stop doing it because he was wasting energy.

Yeah to me it looked like Conor was moving around to the side/back of Floyd, maybe going in for the hump. I kept waiting for the ref to tell him to stop doing that.

There were times I seen Connor so that. He definitely showed his mma instincts , but I could be mistaken, a lot was going on around me, but I believe there was a point when Floyd did it. Being drunk at the time I recalled it being very Anguloish. NOT saying he was in trouble or hurt but rules are rules.

Yeah Conor talked about it after the fight like he thought it was totally legal. He was making an effort to get behind Floyd

Edit: I guess moving like that is legal but there's no legal moves to make from that position, so like Conor said it's a waste of energy, and Floyd is not turning his back when Conor is making an effort to take that position

Yea if you've heard any of the post fight stuff "getting his back" seemed like a strategy for Conor. Like that was something he wanted to do, was trying to do & was legit confused that he couldn't land shots from behind Floyd at will lmfao.

Idk wut the f#ck was going on in his training camp for that to seem to be a legit strategy.

Conor had 40 amateur fights. He started his combat sports career boxing I believe or for sure it was among the first combat sports he competed in.

Point taken doe. These two were worlds apart in their boxing experience.
