As a fan of MMA and Boxing. Its not that MMA fighters hit harder. Its that MMA fighters has little to no skill in boxing. Only a very few of them know how to box and those that do somehow go far "scratches head." MMA fighters like to walk into punches compared to boxers giving the illusion that MMA fighters hit harder.Last edited by GorillaDog; 08-27-2017, 05:55 PM. -

They cant train boxing all the time and they cant position there feet for punching like boxers because of kicks and takedowns.
And majority of MMA fighters have grappling backgrounds. I think Garbrandt, miocic, Conor are the best MMA can offer in terms of boxers. Those guys are bad assess in their own rightComment

why would mma fighters hit the same as boxers?
MMA fighters dont concentrate solely on boxing, they also concentrate on kicking, takedown offence and defence, submissions, defending from submissions, elbows, knees etc etc
A lot of MMA fighters actually neglect boxing in their training because they may have come from a wrestling background or Jiujutsu.Comment
