I'm sure it must have been hard for you to deal with Floyd getting #50

12 rounds is a very long time against someone like Floyd, even if you are an elite MMA guy.

I am literally shocked that this thread actually exist, if the fight lasted this long its only because May actually allowed it, its embarrassing that a 40yr old would have better conditioning that a 29 yrs old. Money is the best fighter of his generation but hes forty now if you get a Canelo or Triple G against Connor, he wont make it past he 2nd

Yes it was. Seeing Floyd's head wobble as Conor threw stiff jab was Cringy to watch seeing Floyd get hit so cleanly like that.

And knowing it was a noob who did that to him. Jeez, that was sad to watch as a boxing fan.

I figured he gassed early because you and alot of others slurped the life out of him daily since the fight was signed.

I bet if you give a chick head, she will have a kid that looks like McGregor.

Ridiculous score card. Conor's Jab was a thing of beauty, but to Floyd fan boys. Floyd let him get hit over and over for the first 4 rounds.

Crazy how effortlessly Conor took the first 4 rounds easily. Those stiff jabs and body punches by Conor was hitting it's mark. Conor was depositing money in the bank, what he lacked though is the stamina to go 12 rounds. Which most predicted for someone who is stepping in for the very first time in a boxing ring.

Like I said, Conor was an exotic car like a Lamborghini which was a gas guzzler that ran out of fuel. Was it Floyd who did that to him? Naah, Conor did that to himself. Conor wasn't ready for a 12 rounder. And Floyd knew that. All FLoyd did was wait for him to gas out. NOT impressive at all.
Two of the judges were a joke. Conor won the first 2 rounds easy and probably the third.
But once Floyd felt conors power and didn't flinch, the fight was over.
Does anyone think he would have stood and traded if conor wobbled him like pacquiao or Mosley??? He would have been on his bike but conor throws arm punches and doesn't rotate his hips. The difference between how Floyd throws punches and Connors punches is night and day. I'm not being critical of conor, I'm a big fan of his ufc accomplishments but he had no chance once Floyd started smiling while walking him down. Conor must have thought "****, I'm not in here with Paulie"!!!

Conors Achilles heel whether he stays in boxing or more likely heads back to the ufc is his stamina. He was blowing hard mid way through the 2nd round.

I'd love to know his vo2 max results. I'd bet that they are below average for a top level athlete.

Anyway acquitted himself well against a 40 year old Floyd. Won some rounds, didn't get embarrassed and walks away a rich man.
              Bring on canelo vs GGG

Connor gassed because of his poor conditioning and inability to defend body punches.

i really don't think you guys have a firm grasp of what conditioning is.

mcgregor verly clearly murders himself to fight at 154 or 155 lbs. you understand that he literally can't train any harder, right? the wall he hit would have come sooner and been worse if he'd trained any harder, or for more weeks.

eventually you'll start going backwards. it's called being overtrained. you start to get little nagging injuries and they don't heal. you wake up tired and you don't get your strength back when you rest. your T levels and O2 production will actually go down if you train any harder.

connor was in great shape for a dude making a debut. his problem is that he was making his debut and he'd never boxed four rounds before as a pro, nevermind 12. you can't take a break in there without knowing how to do it, when you need to do it, and how to coast and box when you're tired.

in MMA you can get a really solid breather on the ground, on the fence if you know what you're doing. if you need to "use the ring" in the octogon you have about twice as much surface area to move around in, and no corners, just a fence with a very obtuse angle that makes it easy to pivot off of the ropes / "cage" and get to the middle of the ring.

if it was an 8 round fight floyd would have got going earlier, connor lost nothing else to see here...
