I think Canelo HAS to and WILL target Golovkins body for following reasons:
    1. GGG has looked soft in mid section recently.
    2. Gym stories around that GGG has been dropped by a body shot in sparring.
    3. No one has come close to punching GG in the head and dropping or rocking him.
    4. In past fights he hasn't liked being hit in body (more so than the head).

Problem is... landing body shots is easier when attacking and not off the back foot. Canelo will be on the back foot to box him and to avoid a war.

Golovkin doesn't telegraph his jab and it's pretty solid, so Canelo will have tough time finding his rythm when smacked in the face constantly.

Canelo has great combos, but Golovkin is great at maintaining the distance he wants. When defending, he quite often takes a few quick steps back while shelling up, so will be interesting to see if Canelo lands these 4 or 5 punch combos or if Golovkin makes him miss or reset.

In his last 3 fights Golovkin has been more one dimensional. He showed against Lemieux that he is capable of adapting his style. Will he adapt for Canelo? ie; with more head movement and to nullify Canelo's speed, or use his amateur pedigree, foot speed and size to outbox him.
Both bring up the issue of range andi ts very important. As the taller guy with longer reach, this should be GGGs forte but Canelo, even with his slow feet, understands how to use them and at some stage, is going to take the range from GGG, or try at the very least. What happens then? Open exchanges, both guys get caught...who hits harder? who has the better chin?

Btw havent heard that story about the body shot. I dont think I've even seen GGG momentarily annoyed by a body shot let alone hurt lol

Canelo can hurt golovkin with body shots, Golovkin needs to fight Canelo like he did Lemieux, control him with the jab

It was apparently Tyrell Hendrix who did it, except nobody is backing up the story.

where does the story come from? who is hendrix? if theres no one backing it up then it probably isnt likely, considering I havent even seen world level mws get GGGs body, let alone hurt him there

Hendrix is a SMW - LHW with 11 wins, 4 by KO. He has 7 losses. He has quite a few KD's, but all his wins are against no-names.

Canelo can't be predictable. He needs to vary his attack. Some rounds he needs to be charging forward and some rounds he needs to counter and then get the hell out of the way. It would be nice if he could establish a jab to the body. Do not follow Jacob's game plan because he doesn't have the same size and movement.

Golovkin has got to stay with his fundamentals and not headhunt. In the last couple fights he has headhunted when he didn't need to...maybe being overexcited by trying to please the crowd? Work the jab and the hooks to the body and he can wear Canelo down.

My prediction is GGG TKO 10

A TKO should be likely on paper with the size and power difference but Canelo has a huge heart. Just makes it even more interesting.

His most notable fight was a loss by KO to Joe Smith Jr.
If Joe and GGG had sparred, and Joe said he knocked GGG down with a body shot, it would be a bit more believable.

It seems like it, he looks very confident now. But there is a blemish in his past: he mentally checked out against the great Mayweather, and you can't erase that. If GGG can establish mental dominance of the same level against now matured Canelo, it remains to be seen though. Great fight!

Id be more inclined to believe jr could do that lol

I dunno if Canelo mentally checked out against mayweather. What I saw was a 22 yo kid iwth limited top level experience against an atg who jus tso happened to get eveyrthing he wanted, in particular the weight demand.

Even at that stage Canelo had trouble with 154, let alone 152. He was physically, rather than psychologically unable to compete.

Btw its important to note I mentioned heart rather than confidence. Extremely confident fighters can lack heart, look at someone like Duran, heck in recent times McGregor and many others.
