Canelo has to stay off the ropes and work on his stamina. I think Canelo is the one that has to make some changes. If both guys fight their usual fight G is more likely to win so Canelo has to make adjustments.

I think Canelos stamina will be a real issue here. What happens when he finally takes punches from a bigger guy and has to go into rounds 8, 9 or 10?

Like I said, I think Canelo wins a decision if he survives the 12 rounds as the judges will have him up either way, which is why GGG has to go for the KO...meaning Canelo will have to work harder than ever before.

Canelo will try to work with combinations, strong ones.

But then after 5 or 7 rounds he will try to win rounds in 10-15 seconds bursts. That is when GGG will look better. So mpst probably you will have people giving Canelo the first half of the fight and GGG thr second half. Unless GGG KO Canelo in the 10-11 round

Canelo advantages- handspeed, favourable scorecards, combos, uppercuts, age,

            Ggg- power, jab, experience, footwork

Given the above , canelo should not try and emulate jacobs and move because his legs arent athletic like that, he will just get beat down on the ropes

He should use his handspeed and combinations including the uppercuts in the middle of the ring to occupy golovkin. Ggg isnt a slip or catch and counter type a guy. He lets the opponent shoot their bother then launches his own attacks

Ggg should jab from the outside and when canelo wants to attack, jus move like he did vs lemieux

I think i saw an article where canelos team said he should fight like jacobs and i suspect early they will try and move but once they find they are getting dominated i think theyll stop giving ground up

Good points. Both guys like to fight from about the same range so a major factor will be how well Canelo can take Golovkin's shots and/or if he is able to counterpunch effectively.

GGG- JAB JAB JAB, use distance and wear him down with hooks to the body

CANELO- Don't engage in a war only counter, use superior speed, pace yourself and take it to the cards

Canelo boxes and moves to a UD. Its his best chance to win. This will not be the kind of "mexican war" ODH and HBO are going to market this fight as IMO.

I have more questions than answers but i'll put my two cents in.

I think Canelo HAS to and WILL target Golovkins body for following reasons:
                    1. GGG has looked soft in mid section recently.
                    2. Gym stories around that GGG has been dropped by a body shot in sparring.
                    3. No one has come close to punching GG in the head and dropping or rocking him.
                    4. In past fights he hasn't liked being hit in body (more so than the head).

Problem is... landing body shots is easier when attacking and not off the back foot. Canelo will be on the back foot to box him and to avoid a war.

Golovkin doesn't telegraph his jab and it's pretty solid, so Canelo will have tough time finding his rythm when smacked in the face constantly.

Canelo has great combos, but Golovkin is great at maintaining the distance he wants. When defending, he quite often takes a few quick steps back while shelling up, so will be interesting to see if Canelo lands these 4 or 5 punch combos or if Golovkin makes him miss or reset.

In his last 3 fights Golovkin has been more one dimensional. He showed against Lemieux that he is capable of adapting his style. Will he adapt for Canelo? ie; with more head movement and to nullify Canelo's speed, or use his amateur pedigree, foot speed and size to outbox him.

True and I think this video illustrates the subtle skills of Golovkin. It all has to do with timing and rhythm. Pretty interesting.
