Nope, we could have made that more easy for him.
I'm not saying that literally he made Conor hit him, but he choose a different style than the usual boring and super-safe style.
He did the same thing in Maidana I, and even that time he said before the fight what he was going to do. Then look what happened in Maidana II.

There's no doubt Floyd has diminished quite a bit, but I think his strategy put him at risk of being hit more often than usual. Floyd was still guarding and slipping as much as he could while coming forward, but his plan was to come forward and land power shots. Connor landed around 25%? No like Floyd was letting everything hit him.

Floyd tested McGregor's power. This is evident by the infamous tap jab and the fact Floyd made NO effort to dodge it. That's why he's smiling - there was nothing to worry about.

This. I knew it would surface. Saw it last night.

Floyd didn't even blink and this is immediately after McGregor landed a flush jab.

Of course he didn't let himself get hit.

But he had such little respect for him that he just walked forward the whole fight so obviously fighting like that you are likely to get tagged a few times.

Where is this Floyd was letting Conor hit him **** coming from? He was pressuring, he was bound to get hit but lets look at what McGregor connected with, where was the power? He left it with his 4oz gloves.

                a) Floyd didn't purposefully get hit... but he did purposefully fight in an aggressive manner, putting his attack ahead of his defence.
                b) Floyd has shown for 20 years to be able to block, dodge, counter, slip, move, dance, etc... to a level that seldom boxers have ever shown... it is already reasonable to know that he is an amazing defender.... GGG has never shown anything like that... so for him to say he gets purposefully hit, when he could defend... is saying something that you have never shown/backed up.

Are they really saying that? lol.
Floyd looked like a 40 year old guy, two years retired. He was reaching and crossing up his footwork on a lot of those punches. Some of it was the fact that his opponent was really rangey and hard to hit, much of it was that he's far past prime now.

You had to know this was coming. A poor showing by Floyd could only mean one thing--that he "carried" Conor into the tenth. The same guy who sucker-punched B-rate Ortiz is now suddenly going to carry an opponent? Not on your life.
