“We saw a fight tonight,” White said. “I don’t know if tonight was the best boxing you’ve ever seen. But you saw a fight. I mean, Conor was in here landing jabs on Floyd Mayweather. He was hitting him with right hands, he hit him with a big uppercut, hitting him with nice body shots. Conor McGregor looked damn good tonight to me. I don’t know what everybody else thinks, but I thought he looked awesome and I’m proud of him.”

Yeah did way better than Manny only because of the huge size difference, but you wont ever mention the size difference it was way more than Horn had over Manny.

      You are such a loser.

while Conor exceeded expectations, i've watched the fight again and its clear to me Floyd allowed him to land a bit, just to test the waters.

after the 4th round, its fair to say Conor did not look very good at all, in terms of stamina and his overall technique. i was surprised at how uncrisp his punches were. too many pawing jabs and slapping punches.

definitely stick to MMA where he has his full arsenal of kicks to his standup game.

There is speculation when Conor got his boxing license way back when that he was putting himself in a position to be protected by the Muhammad Ali Act thus forcing the UFC to okay Conor boxing or get Conor taking them to court for the ability to box if they didn't allow him. The UFC knew this & didn't let things go to that level & took the $30M or whatever they got for doing so. Conor agreed to that deal cuz it allowed for him to make 4x his net worth + saved his time with the potential lawsuit. Obviously all that is filled with speculation as said in my first sentence, but I believe Conor forced this to happen vs the UFC allowed it to happen. Thats why Dana is only "hoping" Conor doesn't box again now & not saying he'll definitely not box again cuz the ball is still in Conor's court more than Dana's with Conor's boxing career.

This is all found money for the UFC.

Conor could easily fight Paulie Malignaggi and do 900k ppv buys and earn 20 million for that fight alone.
Yea I think 1M buys give or take vs Paulie makes sense. Thing is I think Conor vs Diaz III probably does 1.5M-2M buys & if Conor can get a PPV points raise he probably makes more for that fight than any boxing match + he gots a hell of a better shot vs Nate Diaz then Paulie I'd argue.

The reason Dana doesn't ant Conor back in boxing is becaue he has no more stars, Jon Jones is done, Ronda is done, GSP nobody knows if he will draw probably do 400 to 500k buys UFC fans move on quickly so GSP could be hyped hard and not break a million
Yea the UFC is looking f#cked with PPV for the time being. Jon Jones is likely gone for 2 to 4 years & Conor is THE GUY in the UFC right now & he's not in the UFC lol. The main thing the UFC gots going for it right now is GSP coming back & who knows how well that goes since he's been out of the ring for 4 years. Regardless of how that PPV does it doesn't even seem like GSP will have more than 1-3 fights so its not like GSP coming back is gonna do much for their future.

They need No Love Cody to get popular real quick &/or Dana needs to quit sh^tting on every title holder besides Conor which is exactly what he's done over the last year I believe which has done him no favors. Its kinda like how Bob Arum throws his own guys under the bus sometimes what Dana has been doing.

Thats why I say he shouldnt go back and Dana shouldnt bring him back in, it will open a can of worms Fighters will demand more money and see favoritism with Conor.

Dana best bet is let Conor fight in boxing and he co-promotes him, he can fight Paulie, bring old Mosley out of retirement and maybe he should try to face Cotto at 154 in December first? that will be Cottos last fight.

Conor is not going to take 3 million after receiving 30 million guarantee.

Conor even said I likes the boxing promotion more because its clean and centered around him only, in UFC Conor loses and he becomes a co main or a undercard fight, remember that happend to Chuck Liddell

he was their biggest draw and then lost 2 and fought on the undercard, in boxing you can lose and still main card a fight.

If Conor knockis out Paulie and claim he worked on stamina, he can fight some name fighters who are old and do that.

He can fight Antonio Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, even Chavez Jr. and draw.

but if he goes back to UFC he will have to take a massive cut in pay, and UFC will not give him big money because it opens a can of worms with other fighters who are living off scraps. it will show favortism and fighters are going to get jealous.
The UFC has lost Ronda and have likely lost Jon Jones too; you bar Conor and you've got a point where WME doesn't have a single fighter that could produce a PPV over 400k.

Conor's not going to take $3m for a fight, but the Floyd event experience and the amount of work that he did have to do for his payday and everything that went into the event will keep Conor and his camp reasonable.

McGregor-Diaz 3, especially if they strike fast while the boxing audience still remembers him, is a fight that likely pushes north of 2m PPV homes.

$5m in fight purses (double what Diaz got on the 2nd fight, to eliminate any hassle and use the rest of it to win/show the rest of the card), whatever the costs (let's say $3m) to properly market the event, Conor gets $250k on the front end (to cover his immediate camp expenses), and then the UFC splits all of the back-end money 60/40 with McGregor Sports/Entertainment.

When another fighter comes along and starts to draw monster money, they can have that conversation with the UFC.

A 40 years old Floyd who was out of the ring for 2 years and was outweighted by like 15 pounds or more walked down and stopped McGregor.

Bro seriously, I gave Conor those first 3 rounds but after that he disappeared.

Just being honest, nevertheless dude has heart.
