I was surprised to see McGregor drinking whiskey (Irish Whiskey) in the post fight press conference. What kind of fighter starts drinking immediately after a professional boxing fight?..., after a fight that he was stopped in? In the press conference he mentions how he always gasses out in fights and he says he has to figure out why he keeps gassing like that....Meanwhile he's downing a bottle of whiskey. Hahaha. Such a mystery If Connor is a regular drinker/ partier, he's going to be a shell of himself in 2 or 3 years from now. It's like Kovalev situation. Kov is a drinker and he tended to gas late in fights....Maybe not as bad as McGregor, but he would tend to gas out still. If you want to follow the path of a top athlete from peak to downfall, just pay attention to their lifestyle, their habits, their vices. Drinking and drugs always expedite the decline of a fighter. DeLahoya and Hatton are other examples. Near the end of their careers they were both well known for partying, drinking and doing coke.

This whole debacle reminded me of that movie "The Great White Hype" and most people bought into it. This fight was all about $$ and everybody knew Floyd would win, but there were suckers who put $$ on Conor.

Floyd should not be 50-0. The fact that he beat a 0-0 guy with no boxing experience is just absurd. Conor and Charlie Zelenoff now have the same boxing record. Both fought a Mayweather. Let that sink in for a moment.

Mayorga used to fire up a smoke and grab a bottle of Budweiser DURING the post fight interview in the ring...

I don't like all the sour g****s talk coming from McGregor now. Show some respect. You got your ass handed to you by an old man half your size.
Assume you gave McGregor 1-3 (I didn't give him Round 3, but I consider it a swing round).

He also won Round 8 (I DID give him Round 8, nowhere near a swing round).

That's four rounds. There were only 9 complete rounds. You get 5-4 Mayweather, or one round up. Showtime's score was fine - as long as you gave McGregor Round 3.

What I didn't agree with is giving Mayweather Round 2. He lost that round, clearly, yet two judges gave it to him.

To me 6-3 is much more appropriate a score. It certainly wasn't a blowout nor was it a hair's width close.

only losers are the people who thought floyd and conor actually had beef with each other. those two are best friends. it was all for entertainment. conor losing this fight does not affect his brand or legacy since he was supposed to lose. but in his debut boxing fight he made a bigger payday than any boxer not named floyd or oscar. he can easily retire now. why not celebrate.

That's the thing it was a purse party, he don't care that he was exposed as soft punching running back by a frail old midget, he has quit in fights losing don't bother him. he made a fortune good on him.

The fact that you praise Floyd for beating a lifetime MMA fighter like it was even supposed to be close is laughable. Floyd fans deflect his criticism by saying sh it like he is laughing his way to the bank and well he just made x amount of money yet this *** head mac does the same thing and yu all give him sh it for it. Fawking hilarious

McGregor didnt lose really. He is a winner. He was rich before but now he has enough money where his grand kids are set for life.

Haha, yeah, I remember that. Larry Merchant always seemed amused by Mayorga's smoking and "don't give a sheeite" attitude.
I'm sure the smoking and other bad habits contributed to his short shelf life as a top fighter. His fighting style would be another factor for having an abbreviated time near the top, though it was also a factor for getting there.

I gave him 1 and 2, and was undecided on 3. Didn't give him 8th.

No way did Mayweather win 2.

Fat Dan gave Mayweather round 1!
