UFC *REFUSES* Refunds For Mayweather/McGregor Streaming Botch

'Am I getting a refund after this?' one subscriber asks a customer service representative who posted his exchange on Twitter after experiencing disruptions in his service.

He adds: 'Everyone accessing UFC TV is experiencing the same problem.'

The person communicating with the subscriber answers that 'Unfortunately we cannot give a refund. We can cancel your subscription. I'm sorry.'
Waiting patiently for the class action lawsuit.

EDIT: That didn't take long. Mark Geragos (guy who defended Michael Jackson) filed it literally hours after the fight.

This going to get ugly they will have to issue mass refunds or they getting sued. The entire streaming app crashed at 9pm ET. Virtually everyone who used that service either missed the entire card or only got a few min of of service. Utter disaster. Peep Dana white and UFC twitter accounts everyone is going nuts tweeting them about suing and never buying another PPV from the UFC.

I'm not surprised about the streaming issues at all. I would have been very cautious because whatever infrastructure UFC uses, it sure as **** isn't robust as something like Youtube. I had issues with the UFC streaming before for a Anderson Silva fight.

What do you expect from a cheap company that pays their fighters peanuts? Badou Jack and Gervonta Davis made more than Nate Diaz did UFC 196...
        FOOK THE UFC.

Correct me if I'm wrong but was the UFC website and app the only way you could watch the fight online? In other words if the UFC was handling 100% of the online order this might be a massive lawsuit. If they did 500k online orders we are talking about $50 million.

Dana White was bragging about the fact that this fight would have the option to order online whereas boxing never had that before. What a cluster **** this has become.

They were the only direct legal stream from the promoters. Slingtv also offered the the PPV stream haven't heard a peep about their stream going down.

Showtime app streamed it as well as a dedicated app on PS4 and Ring,tv, I believe. I know the PS4 app was one, because I personally saw it when browsing for Canelo/Golovkin.

The only ones you're hearing bad about are the ones that failed - Showtime app and UFC.tv. Otherwise we wouldn't have had any illegal streams at all available.

I was watching an HLS feed (quite impressed, this being my first time with this tech) through a Google plugin and it briefly paused at points but nothing severe. Other than that it was HD crystal clear, and I could tell it was the Showtime broadcast because Paulie was talking.

Do they really think they can fail to provide their "product" and not have to compensate customers?

To be fair, Comcast's been doing that for years. Didn't seem to stop them

The Good Old Fashion "READ THE FINE PRINT" Hell No they not getting their money back! I Guarantee it was a disclaimer saying "Not Refund If We *** Up Your Stream"

Of course it was going to be a last minute rush that would crash everything and that is what happened
