I had Conor with the first 2. After that he did nothing

Two judges scored round 9 10-8, that is the most interesting part to me. It did get ugly in there to be fair.

Wouldn't you think that the 9th round of Pac-Horn was more of a 10-8 round than any round In the Mayweather-Macgregor fight?

Actually I dunno if I do tbh. I think it was a onesided round but I wasn't inclined to score it 10-8 live. The thought crossed my mind in Mayweather-McGregor's case tho.

But usually when I think of 10-8 rounds I think of Maidana-Khan round 10. Neither May-Mac rd 9 or Pac-Horn rd 9 were quite that bad.

I didn't think either fight deserved a 10-8 round but If I was going to give one It would be the Pacquiao-Horn fight.

Haven't posted in a long time, but that fight was just too funny. Mayweather made no effort to win on the cards, because he had full confidence in stopping him. McGregor has absolutely no power and can't handle body shots. In the 4th Floyd put up his guard and started walking him down, putting in body work almost exclusively. The commentators on showtime are hilariously dumb. They seemed to think McGregor had Mayweather in some kind of trouble and had no idea what was coming. This was Floyd showing absolutely no respect to a guy with poor hand striking. He just walked forward throwing power shots. Around the 7th he started head hunting after slowing him down with body work, and in the 9th McGregor was finished.

So toss the score cards because it didn't matter. Mayweather wasn't trying to win them. That fight was a statement that he didn't even have to box him to win. He just had to beat him down. Mission accomplished.

Yeah I think the shock of seeing McGregor land all the clean punches early kinda shocked people, and they couldn't really see where it was going. They thought Floyd was being outboxed.

Watching it again when you know the outcome is interesting though. You can see things a bit clearer, like how not a single punch Conor threw had any effect on Floyd, all his little smiles to the camera, winking at Carl Froch at ringside, barely out of breath at any point, not drinking any water or having any ice applied in the corner. He just looks cool as a cucumber, but it was harder to see when you were caught up in the moment.

All these Conor fans that are struggling to accept Floyd's victory and think it was literally a cardio issue, should watch the fight again with a bit of retrospect and see just how little Mayweather was troubled by Conor the whole fight, and how much confidence he had in being able to take him out later.
