Comments Thread For: Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor - Official Scorecards

Floyd Mayweather Jr. figured out a 50th opponent, letting Conor Mayweather-McGregor Official Scorecards - McGregor have the early rounds before stalking him late and leaving the mixed martial artist defenseless and exhausted on the ropes. Mayweather battered McGregor around the ring in the later rounds, finally stopping him at 1:05 of the 10th round Saturday night with a flurry of punches that forced referee Robert Byrd to stop the fight.

McGreggor won at least 2 of the first 3, probably even all 3 of them. Floyd won probably every round after 3.

2 judges gave floyd the second. Will rewatch in a better stream soon but that's how I saw it albeit a little close due to floyds low output.

Floyd was winning by hook or by crook. No way he wins 2 of the first 3 rounds. Impossible. After that he dominated. Conor couldn't hang with a real boxer and the cardio involved with boxing. No naps on the mat

Conor won the first three rounds. Judge Dave Moretti got it right. The other judges were sleeping by then.

I haven't seen the fight yet. I actually wasn't going to bother watching it at all, I watched the Cleverly - Jack fight and caught up with Cotto this morning..but seeing as the judges gave McGregor some rounds 'im a little eager to see how he looked.
I thought he would be stopped early, i certainly didn't think he'd win any rounds. So i may catch up later and see how he looked.

Regardless though, i don't want to see a Paulie fight, i want to him see him back in the UFC.

I thought Mcgregor won 4 rounds. Not sure what the judges were watching. Steve Farhood's card was right on, IMO.

Seeing that people actually thought McGregor was winning rounds. I'll admit, watching that bizarre, joke of a spectacle and trying to view it as a legitimate prize fight was as difficult a thing as I've ever done. But if you did, you can't have McGregor winner more than a round or two. He won the first. But you'd have to be trying really hard to give him rounds after that. Floyd hit him with some wicked straight right hands to the body, that went largely unnoticed in those early rounds. Not only did those punches win the early rounds for Floyd. They probably ended any chance McGregor was gonna have to see the final bell. Or even land anything significant past the early rounds. Because by the fourth or fifth round, McGregor was basically slapping. And that's what basically allowed Floyd to turn into Antonio Margarito for a night and basically stalk McGregor into submission.

                    Terrible scorecards

                    Terrible Scorecards!

The first 3 rounds belong to McGregor. The 4th was very close (leaning towards McGregor) and the 5th was Mayweather who slightly outwork Connor.

Only rounds Mayweather won clearly were rounds 6, 7, 9 and 10.

I dont care what any of you say. Stamina was key fir Mayweathet to win. Connor ring inexperience backfire. He simply could sustain the pace he was fighting at and ran out of gas.
