Didn't you hear Floyd in his interview post fight interview? The strategy was to get McGregor to throw punches and gas himself. Those connections were girly arm punches. Conor knew that if he took the extra millisecond to generate more leverage, Floyd's right would be down his nose. So, we got girly tappings all night. Was a fun spectacle but it was glorified sparring between a genius and a character. How long would Conor last with Spence, Thomas, Porter, Pacquiao, Horn, Brooke...any of these big punchers???
