Are you guys high or some ****? Live gate is infinitely more important than total number of tickets sold. Remember when GGG fans were bragging that he sold out MSG and that made him a huge draw? Well guess what? This fight made nearly 80 million more than GGG Lemieux in ticket sales

Connor is underpayed by the UFC. HE had 1.6m PPV's in the UFC but was only payed by 3 million.

Doesn't matter. It still would've broke lots of records.

So what this fight was never about being a sellout or bringing in the avg fan

It was set up for 1 thing only and that was to break the live gate which according to Mayweather and Dana White it did

This event was for celebrities and the ultra rich to see live and regular peasants to buy the PPV.

It wasn't that bad a fight but for hundreds of millions of dollars it sure was no Leonard-Hearns lol. I think people appreciate Floyd's skills but never want to see him again. And yes it's true, Canelo-Golovkin is a better fight than the 'Money' fight, but they sure promoted it brilliantly. Pay-per views probably through the roof.

Unfortunately, total revenue may reveal it wasn't a total flop, but hey it is what it is...or was, from the very beginning, a money grab....a circus act and a bunch of clowns taking it as a serious fight.....oh well....

You do realize that in Neveda live gate numbers are reported to the public right? They can't "lie" about the numbers, which is why we have this attendance number as public record.

Now there's room to embellish the PPV record but a 100k here or there, but that's also hard to do when analytics/tracking can reveal a general range of sales. We'll see what's reported but "lying" isn't that easy. We live in the information age buddy.

I wonder how many tickets were sold. I assume it's a lot more than were in attendance. Otherwise they were reporting a lot of lies in the media.

Mayweather-Pacquiao sold 16,219 tickets for a gate revenue of $72,198,500. Avg. ticket price = $4451.48

If 14,623 is the sold ticket amount for Mayweather-McGregor, they would need to average $4937.32 per ticket to equal the record.
