Respect to McGregor. 1st time in the ring and he did that!

Like I and many others predicted Floyd carried McGregor for enough rounds to give the fans a show. He then stepped it up and worked McGregor over and stopped him. It was obvious from the first round. I laughed my ass off the whole fight. No disrespect to McGregor but he only did as much as Floyd allowed. Floyd clearly had zero respect for him as a threat and barely bothered with defense knowing he could easily get the stoppage.Last edited by Motofan; 08-27-2017, 12:41 AM.Comment

Conor can hang with the young guns in a 8 round bout, not 12. He doesn't have the boxing stamina. He gassed out.Last edited by Spoon23; 08-27-2017, 12:50 AM.Comment

It's partly because Floyd carried him. Tonight Mayweather was not his typical safety first self as he was against Manny Pacquiao. He wouldn't in a hundred years, open up and throw punches like that for fear of being countered against Manny. Floyd knew what he was doing. He had an amateur novice fighter in front of him with no boxing experience or pedigree.Comment

He just keeps on impressing. I say he still can raise his chin up with that performance. He did a lot for a 0-0 fighter.

Floyd looks shot to bits to me and still did whatever he wanted with McGregor, it just shows the gulf in class.
If this was Mayweather of even 2 years ago, it would have gone even worse for Conor. Floyd wasn't lying with his whole "i'm not even the fighter i was 2 years ago" thing.Comment

Yeah, Conor can be robbed in a 12 round bout, but what they can't fool is those punches that has been landing all night for Conor. Those wore money shots.

Those are obvious be-headings though. Can you imagine what somebody like Lemieux even would have done to him tonight when he was stumbling all over the ring like a drunken zombie. Both guys would talk mad **** and it would be a competitive fight at this stageComment
