Super flyweights are good but you aren't building a fanbase or PPV star off of those guys.

If Canelo beats GGG who's next for him? Are people gonna pay to see him fight the winner of Saunders/Monroe or Derevyanchenko?

He killed boxing by betting on the wrong horses. He pushed Top Rank away


He probably thought Arum had no other options because he'd burned his bridges at Showtime. He never put a serious offer in for Joshua according to Hearn.

He invested the future of HBO boxer in super flyweights and mid 30 year old fighters who don't speak english or barely speaks english.

I hope they leave the boxing game for good. Boxing will be much better off without them trying to shoehorn every half decent match up onto PPV because they're not invested into the sport anymore. Ward vs Kov 1 and 2, Crawford vs Postol, etc... all fights that should have been on regular HBO but fans had to shell out extra to watch them on PPV. Hopefully they decide GoT is enough and they don't need boxing anymore
