He probably thought Arum had no other options because he'd burned his bridges at Showtime. He never put a serious offer in for Joshua according to Hearn.

He invested the future of HBO boxer in super flyweights and mid 30 year old fighters who don't speak english or barely speaks english.
tbf, Arum was trying to strong arm him by forcing HBO to show lop-sided mismatches and bad fights.

HBO was selective and TR didn't like that.

Something needs to be done and changes made at HBO, there is a host of other potential color men and commentators that who's opinions I respect more than Kellerman and although I like Lampley but he's always drinking HBO Kool-Aid. But as with anything else we still need HBO in boxing.

Oh well...we got Showtime,CBS, and ESPN for now. HBO was on the downswing for a few years. They signed some of the best fighters and they hardly ever fought anyone good and if they did we had to pay $75 to watch it.

I'd like to see Haymon fighters fight each other on HBO. No problem for me. Squashing the inactivity bug is more important than anything else. Start with Garcia vs Garcia, Swift vs Mikey.

People need to stop this network wars and accept wherever fighters are led to fight, ESPN, HBO, SHO, FOX, BET, it shouldn't matter.

Right now so many fighters are still without fight date yet. It's terrible.

HBO is done at the top level of boxing unless they make a big move. They'll have a couple big fights a year and some smaller cards. But Showtime and now ESPN have passed them

HBO had some excellent fights in the past, but often their crew acts more like salesmen than journalists. At HBO, they always try to trumpet their product and tend to overdo it a little too obviously.

I think GGG will beat Canelo and NOT retire afterwards, so they will feature him a lot. Canelo rematch etc...

I think Fox will also sign up with PBC making HBO even more irrelevant. It's over at HBO.
