I don't see why HBO needs Kellerman or Lampley anymore. I say their contracts should be terminated and given nice compensation.

IMO, HBO needs to restrategize its commentary and make new programming ventures, a new infrastructure. I see Showtime and ESPN leading in boxing.

It can all be remedied, but HBO needs to riff Lampley and Kellerman. They're just boring

And replace with who? The majority of American boxing presenters/commentators/pundits are embarrassing. In the UK the majority just try to call the fights the best they can. In America it's like they want to be celebrities.

I'm thinking the same thing. They can pay for consultancy doe... Keep RJJ and keep scouting for new personalities, rehearse, protocol...

Bernstein, Ranallo, Paulie... those guys put the HBO team to shame.

Why don't people assume the decline is because of commentatory. New generations watching

Lampley is good, TBH he is the best on HBO, Roy Jones is biased and sounds very dumb on commentating and Kellerman sounds like a horny kid commentating. Keep Lampley, Lederman and fire the rest

I'll would like to see it like the Good Ole Days when the announcer basically kept quite unless there were big moments, I can score my own fights without added color or hyperbole. In fact it's a helluva lot easier when some commentator is not telling you what you are seeing, especially when the added color and comments are wrong, misleading or outright lying; my eyes don't lie.

I'd like to hear that myself, but imo, combat sports ala Showtime commentary with Ranallo (exaggerating much better than Lampley) is vital, the style is the best formula for the new generation. We are literally jumping into a new tech era where even commentary is crucial For retention.

I always thought of him as a dog humping boxers leg's but maybe he s a horny kid humping their legs.
