Not to worry! Unless McGregor is allowed to bring a baseball bat to the ring, he has no chance. The "fight" is a sideshow to the trash talk and posturing. Everybody wins, the fighters get ****** rich, promoters, the city and the media make a bunch of money and people get their entertainment from the hype. The fight is the vehicle that makes this circus possible.

Absolutely correct! Cortez RUINED that fight, because he was on the Vegas bookies and mayweathers payroll. FK cortez.Comment

Two things here... to compare mcgregor to Hatton based purely off a come forward style makes this whole article void.
Secondly FYI Nate Diaz has a reach 11cm longer than Mayweather and 5cm longer than Mcgregor. So him managing to land on mcgregor is again moot when discussing how Floyd will land. It's also then worth thinking about how impressive it made Mcgregors ability to land at will in BOTH fights against Diaz.
I just genuinely don't know how this fight will play out. Too many unknowns, but I have been genuinely shocked by how dismissive all boxing people seem to be towards Mcgregor and especially his physical advantages going in.Comment

Good analysis. Not sure about the compairson to a undefeated world champion. But i understand what the writer is trying to say. But the truth is every single mayweather opponent said they will do this and that. But what people still dont understand is that mayweather takes his opposition out of their own game plan and they end up fighting his fight. Love him or hate him; the guy knows how to make adjustments. Knows how to take away what you do well and always dictates distance and pace.Comment

Into sharp decline, perhaps. Not retirement. Manny did that. "Right hook, roll under..."
Diaz is a punching bag. He's the MMA version of Brandon Rios. So no, it's not impressive he was able to land on Diaz. Two things here... to compare mcgregor to Hatton based purely off a come forward style makes this whole article void.

It WAS impressive that he was able to land on Aldo, take a shot at the same time and not get sparked off it. That he gets credit for.
Problem is, neither Conor, Aldo nor Diaz have anywhere near the speed of Floyd Mayweather. Conor's never faced anyone as fast as him.
The way to be feat Floyd is to have better conditioning to keep up an assault AND be faster than him. There's no fighter who fits that bill. McGregor certainly doesn't have the conditioning.
My prediction is that the fight will look similar to Rousey/Holm, minus the knockout. Just one guy getting tagged all night to a quit on the stool.Comment
