At least Johnson was fighting with two legs and wasn't injured going into the fight. Also, at least this wasn't Derevyanchenko's first fight at middleweight.

Not trying to knock Charlo personally, not his fault. He got a red carpet into mandatory against an injured fighter though.

That was a boxing special. Any other sport there would be investigations etc but not with our beloved boxing, just cover that up and pretend there is nothing to see. C*nts should be getting sacked over that ****.

Exactly dont forget his no head movement,no lateral movement and continuing moving forward in a predictable pattern. Chenko looked good but any decent boxer could look good against an a opponent like that. styles make fights, My guess is johnson's wins were against other brawlers because the guy cant box for beans

So you are cool that Charlo would be mando for the WBC for beating a cripple and doing nothing in the MW but not cool with Derevechenko to be the IBF mando fir beating a guythat atleastcould stand and fight? The double standards are unbelievable.

Stiverne is a mando. Alphabet rankings have always been (and always will be) eyebrow raising at times.

This has nothing to do with Charlo. I don't even see the analogy. Who has Derev beaten period to earn his ranking? Charlo was a titlist moving up. His ranking was well deserved. Charlo didn't injure his last opponent so don't try to blame him for anything.

The IBF does not simply "appoint" fighters to the #1 or #2 spots. To get a #1 or #2 spot in the IBF you must fight an eliminator with another fighter ranked in the top 10. And typically guys like Jacobs, etc, would rather sit around and wait for a title shot from another organization than to fight a title eliminator.......

Thanks for that explanation. Is IBF the only 1 who does it that way?

He beat the IBF #1 to become the IBF #1. It's really pretty simple

Yes. The WBC, WBA, and WBO have their "rankings committee" pick who goes in which spot, which in my opinion is too open to bias and corruption. The Charlo case is a perfect example. I have nothing against him personally, but why was he given a #1 ranking in the WBC? He did NOT hold a WBC title at 154, and should his win over the untested Williams at 154 really move him past Jacobs, Lemieux, Derevyanchenko, Korobov, and Lee in the 160 ratings??
