Tureano Johnson is pure garbage. 1st time seeing the guy. He had size and length advantage but bum rushed head forward throwing looping bar room brawler type punches. How the hell are there top ranked "professional" boxers that are that terrible with technique!? I was so glad when Derenyanchenko knocked him out.

Exactly dont forget his no head movement,no lateral movement and continuing moving forward in a predictable pattern. Chenko looked good but any decent boxer could look good against an a opponent like that. styles make fights, My guess is johnson's wins were against other brawlers because the guy cant box for beans

This has nothing to do with Charlo. I don't even see the analogy. Who has Derev beaten period to earn his ranking? Charlo was a titlist moving up. His ranking was well deserved. Charlo didn't injure his last opponent so don't try to blame him for anything.

The IBF does not simply "appoint" fighters to the #1 or #2 spots. To get a #1 or #2 spot in the IBF you must fight an eliminator with another fighter ranked in the top 10. And typically guys like Jacobs, etc, would rather sit around and wait for a title shot from another organization than to fight a title eliminator.......

Yes. The WBC, WBA, and WBO have their "rankings committee" pick who goes in which spot, which in my opinion is too open to bias and corruption. The Charlo case is a perfect example. I have nothing against him personally, but why was he given a #1 ranking in the WBC? He did NOT hold a WBC title at 154, and should his win over the untested Williams at 154 really move him past Jacobs, Lemieux, Derevyanchenko, Korobov, and Lee in the 160 ratings??
