It was no better than the Mosley shot, Floyds body was rocked but his mind and eyes were still coherent. Shane was able to land two of those in a round on Floyd and not drop him so it's presumptuous to say maidana would have flattened Floyd if he only had more time.
The Mosley shots definitely wobbled him. Legs looked gone. But the Chino shot had him stumbling to the corner. He was taken off the ground. I don't think he would've been able to lean on Maidana to nullify the attack.

I didn't say he'd be flattened but I think he would've definitely touched that canvas. But to your point, his eyes and arms were in defensive position.

It could further devastate mma especially with some of there biggest stars getting popped for PED's.
I think this view has not been talked about enough. MMA is a little on the ropes right now, they don't really release their PPV numbers so we aren't sure what really is going on there, but their biggest star just got popped for PEDs and his career is likely finished. Their heavyweight division is too in flux to name the beast guy. Outside of MCGregor, what star power do they have?

If McGregor gets KOed easily by Floyd it's definitely going to really hurt MMA.

Chad Mendes hits harder than Floyd and it was almost unfair how Conor just laughed them off. In 4oz gloves no less.

there's literally no proof to anything you just said.

11th round, Mendes and McGregor walking through Floyd's punches when no one has ever done that.

MMA does release PPV numbers. Since Rousey v. Nunes (sold 1.1 million buys), everything has been between 100k - 300k in PPV buys, with the exception of Jones v. Cormier which generated around 850k in buys.

Their PPVs generally are in that 100k - 300k range. When they have "stars", they cross the 500k line.

Overall, I think their sport is much more consistent in terms of fan engagement (with PPV buys) and live gate revenue generation (all live gates for the PPV events are north of 2 million in the last 18 months (Since McGregor v. Alvarez)

For comparison, they're able to generate 100k - 300k in PPV buys for a fight like Garcia v. Thurman (which had a gate if 2.28 million.)

Keep in mind I only covered their PPV cards. Their Fight Night cards, and UFC on Fox cards average around 1 million at the live gate too. Regardless of offering. That's solid revenue generation.

Boxing isn't doing that for comparable cards.

Floyd got badly hurt by Mosley and he got hurt by Corley, Judah and Maidana. But Floyd has a good chin. Some other guys would have been KO'd by some of those shots.
Agreed. Good chin but by no means granite. Truth be told, it's hard to even tell how good his chin is as he was so rarely hit flush and certainly not multiple shots in a row.

but do we really not know how tough one of the best boxers of all time is? after 50 fights and a pedigree amateur career? really?
Yes, Floyd is tough he has proven himself to be one of the toughest in boixing.?

                    But this th
read is specifically about how tough his chin is. A bit of a grey area. All boxers have weakness that they can disguise with strengths in other areas.
But floyd is one of the toughest boxers of all time. Toughest to beat

I have to admit that Floyd has the most granite chin of all. Only a heavyweight can rock him.

He felt nothing getting hard shots from Maidana, Pacquiao, Mosley.
